Well the double mojo worked for the Cards series so I hope it works for this series as well.

    Game 1: Pelfrey v Sabathia

We're not gonna have a yankee and met fan thread are we? The Mets are playing pretty well all of a sudden eh? Can they keep it up with that lineup? I think the Yankees win tonight and tomorrow

There really is no "playing well" with this team. If they get good starting pitching and hold the opponent to 3 or 4 runs they'll probably win, otherwise it's an L.

Saw on the news this morning that the game will most likely have at least an hour delay due to t-storms in the area at that time.

looks like Nady is done for the year by the way...."walked off the field" last night according to Girardi after a "setback"

The best part about that? Swisher is now the permanent full-time right fielder!

Someone at work told me that the Yankees are considering bringing up Shelly Duncan. I was like "AWESOME! I can't wait to have another DH on this team!"

You guys realize Swisher has been the third best hitter on the team, right?

Well, come on man, you have to be good to be on base all the time so as to be getting doubled up so often. Duh.

I'd say Tex, Cano, Damon and Melky are all having better seasons at the plate than Swisher. He is inconsistent as hell, but I'm fine with him in the lineup. Would have preferred to get Nady back for obvious reasons though.

    try this.

It's not starting yet, though, and I probably won't be around later to check for more links. Myp2p.eu will have stuff posted, but most of them require TVAnts, so I'd download that .

Jeter's 35th birthday and he has the flu, so he's sitting out.

    Gardner CF
    Damon LF
    Teixeira 1B
    Rodriguez 3B
    Cano 2B
    Swisher RF
    Cervilli C
    Pena SS
    Sabathia P

I think Melky Cabrera is on the bench. That's what they said on the radio. This for some reason lists Melky in right and Swisher on the bench.

You might want to rethink that.

Tex and Damon are the two ahead of Swisher in OPS+, but Melky and Cano? Not so much. Here, I'll just show you the rankings:

    Code:
    Player OPS OPS+
    Mark Teixeira 0.968	150
    Johnny Damon 0.904	134
    Nick Swisher 0.863	125
    Jorge Posada 0.867	125
    Alex Rodriguez 0.845	121
    Derek Jeter 0.828	117
    Hideki Matsui 0.819	113
    Robinson Cano 0.823	113
    Melky Cabrera 0.793	107
    Brett Gardner 0.748	97
Basically, you'd rather have anyone except Gardner up instead of Melky or Cano... and you might be able to argue Gardner over Melky at this point, given the difference in how the two have been playing since Melky jammed his shoulder.
