He did need time, it took him half a season to get comfortable. if it hadn;t taken him so long NE would have won the division.

Neither had great offensive talent around them(besides '07 for Brady) but Marino had better weapons to throw the ball to.

I would if you took a number of QB's and put them on a BB lead football team. BB may cheat from time to time, but his attention to detail is quite remarkable. Brady never would have lead the Lions to a SB, but for some reason he does it as a Pat and everyone loses site of the actual reason the Pats have been so successful.

you've insisted that brady was not more than a system QB. as in, he wouldn't have won a lot of titles with any other team. for marino, who hasn't led ANY team to a championship, i'm curious as to what you think he would've done had he played in another 'system.'

As for Marino, his final eight season in the NFL were not exactly loaded with offensive firepower and Marino never had a legit RB. As for their defenses, Brady has had the better defense for the majority of his career. Mariono had a great D very early on, but not so much the rest of his career.

I believe what I said about Brady was he was a very good QB, but up until 2007 not even close to a HOF QB. I also said Brady was in a system that fit him very well. Can't exactly call him a system QB till he's played in multiple systems and only suicceeded in one kind of system. Go back and read what I write.
