A choice could be fine. We could have dual-stickied threads, one for avatars, one for sigs. I wonder, do we limit people to one or the other? Let some claim both? Make them claim the same player for both? I kind of like the concept of one player to one TGG poster. I'm probably enforcing a 500 post/1 year minimum too.
I like that idea of enforcing a post per year minimum as well. Too many newbs or non contributors swooping on all the good players...

I think one thread where they claim the player (one player/poster). They should just format their claim along the lines of "Mark Sanchez - Signature" or "Kerry Rhodes - Avatar" Agreed on 500 posts for pickings. But I think it should be 500 posts for the first 2+ weeks, then let the remaining posters pick out of the rest.
In that case, I would even say 2000 posts week 1, then 500, then the rest. Our 2000 post club is just over 100-deep.
That sounds like a good idea. Saves you from having random posters who never show up from having the big name players. (or anyone for that matter)
Just so everyone knows, we're probably not going to take names until Training Camp is officially under way, we're just ironing out the details. Walsh and I will huddle up over final designs and decisions, I'd like the av/sig to match better, for those who want both.
