And instead of responding with the response I gave, you responded by posting more irrelevant information. So, congrats, you've effectively perpetuated irrelevance -- just like your football team has been doing as of recently.
Again, you could have responded to him the same way I responded to you, saying, "what does that have to do with anything that's occurring today?"
Sorry you didn't like my factual, direct response to his question. From now on I'll make it a note to only talk about the time period in Raider history that you like, except I'll omit the win over the Jets last October.
NJRaider my point was we are arguing over past history by you bringing up the Jets woes in not winning a title in over 40 years. Does it make the Raiders any better by how long it has been since they have won a title? Since you will not answer, I will, it has been 26 years since the raiders won a Super Bowl. Hate to tell you, but look it has been almost 30 years now. But go ahead and crow about that.
Well technically, they last won the Super Bowl in January of '84, 25 years ago, but I digress. My point is, I'm the one here talking about now. I'm the guy creating a thread about the Raiders signing Greg Ellis. I didn't drag the conversation into the past, and believe it or not neither did Joe. It was you guys. So if some people insist on hijacking the thread and turning it into a mockery of the Raiders history, I still reserve the right to point out that you guys are Jet fans and haven't won anything since the Nixon era. And it's only been 2 championship game appearances in the 40 years since. You guys shouldn't be shocked when a fan of an opposing team goes that route. And it's not like I started a thread to mock the Jets. I don't do that. Any football post I start gets turned into this crap as some of you have accurately pointed out.
Serious question, do you or Joe actually frequent any real Raiders boards, or do you come here expecting pleasant responses from Jets fans.
Of course I do, can't speak for him. The Jets are an old rival. And I'm local so I know more about them than your average Jet fan knows about the Raiders. So in a weird way I find this fun or I wouldn't do it. Now let's all get back to discussing Greg Ellis...
