I wonder if McDaniels thinks he's going to have the luxury of a 10 year job in Denver. He's pretty much blown that team up, and he had better hope that he can rebuild it, otherwise he'll go down as one of the worst coaches in Denver's history.
In the history of pro sports no one touches McDaniels when it comes to the amount of damage a coach has done to a team and a franchise without ever coaching a single game.
the problem with McDaniels is....the team didn't need to be blown up....his demeanor caused it to happen. The offense was prolific last season.....and now it's questionable to the say the least. You couple that with the change over to the 3-4 scheme (like Mr.E mentioned) and this team will see some hard times in the near future. They have some good young players......but with Cutler and Marshall, they were on the cusp of being a playoff caliber team. Losing both of those players sets that offense back. And i agree with Mr.E that Eddie Royal is an effective wideout.....but how will his play be affected without having Marshall on the other side...or Cutler throwing him the ball for that matter. From the Jets standpoint....I really hope they make a play for Marshall.....he's EXACTLY what our offense needs.
I don't think his height will be his downfall. He proved that he was an elite college cornerback by completely dominating the ACC. It makes sense that he slid into the second, but he is physical and fast enough to start in the pros Smith's the same size as Antoine Winfield, who's one of the league's most physical cornerbacks.
Marshall's a big, fast, physical, #1 receiver...he just needs to stop beating the shit out of his girlfriend.
More and more I think about this... this trade seems like a no-brainer. Marshall is a physical freak. 2 weeks ago he had a quote that he was done being a trouble maker... we'll see what happens there... but the guy can flat out play. I would love to get Plax but it's a no brainer between the two. Sanchez needs a true #1 to help him develop. Now you have a chance to get one who is only 25 years old who could be with Mark for the long run. Plax would be one and done. I think this would be a much better move for the team. If we are going to draft a WR in the 2nd next year... then why not just trade a 2nd for him now... helps us right away and is a proven receiver. It makes too much sense not to.
McDonald's bag = banana peel.....it makes sense now. those Quarter pounders are pretty fucking greasy.
Nothing better than seeing the sky falling on another ex-Patriot...gotta love it. McDaniels is screwed!
Yeah it seems he has his mentor's attitude. The only problem is that BB has more years in the league than McDaniels has been alive. Serious miscalculation there. You're right though, all he had to do was meet with Cutler and make nicey nice with him. He apparently doesn't know which battles to fight. Now he has Orton....what a fackin disaster that's gonna be.
Not going to lie... after watching that video... I might even be willing to give up a 1st. He's a fucking freak of nature. Some of those plays remind me of Randy Moss with the YAC he creates. Insane.
Brandon Marshall in Green and White would be amazing. Has he been in some crazy off the field trouble. Yea, absolutely. With some real discipline, he can be kept in check. He got in trouble once in 4 years of school, and then lost a lot of the discipline when he went to Denver. Not to mention a psycho bitch of a girlfriend. I've seen him on campus a few times over the last year or so. He doesn't drive much anymore, he hires drivers now.
