espn is reporting the falcons have officially released michael vick. hes still under house arrest until late july. and needs to be reinstated by the nfl. where does he wind up playing if anywhere?
The Skins naturally. They're his hometown team (even though Charlotte is technically closer to his home in Southern VA, Hampton). The 'Skins have owned that territory forever. They already have some of his Va Tech buddies there in DeAngelo Hall. Danny Snyder is all about making a splash, good or bad. He'll be a Skin by the end of July.
40 doesn't matter when you are the QB Guy is too talented not to be play He was the most talented player before this incident and he still should be if he plays this season If the Skins pick him which is a possibility then the NFC East has gotten that much more interesting But we'll see
He wins games and his winning pct is third to Tom Brady and Peyton Manning His teams have gone further than our teams That says something about him You see what you want to see
I see an idiot that plays a position that requires you to be smart. Michael Vick uses his legs to buy time for open receivers - half of the time, he's not even making quick reads...that's why he struggled in the west coast offense. He's been out of the league for two years and it will be extremely tough for him to catch back up.
I never liked him as a QB, but he is a great athlete and I think he'd be a scary wildcat player. I don't want to see him go to Mia.
Why do you believe it will be extremely tough for him to catch back up There have been numerous QBs who took time off and came back to play better than they did the first time
It will be tough for him to play quarterback again, because he was never a strong passer in the first place. Also, those other quarterbacks didn't go to fucking prison. Tommy Maddox left the game and became an insurance salesman. Mike Vick left the game and sat in a jail cell.
Actually it says that the Falcons were a better team. I don't buy into the idea that a team winning games means that the QB is good. Hell, the Bears went 13-3 a couple years ago with absolute trash at the QB position.
Michael Vick is a suck QB. Being imprisoned and not playing for 2 seasons is not going to improve that situation.
This is pure bias. You are not really answering the question But hey you are entitled to it. I just know now that you can't separate yourself emotionally
His winning percentage would be a valid point if he were consistently winning each year. He's pretty much an 8-8 QB with one year when he won 11 games. Also he's not 3rd. No where close to 3rd. Probably towards the middle of the pack. He has a win percentage of 56%. Tom Brady has a 78%.
It's not bias - I loved watching Michael Vick while he was at VT and I cheered for him when he led the Falcons into Lambeau Field and pulled out a win. ...but he's not a good a passer, he never was, and no one in this league is going to respect him after what he's done. How's he supposed to lead a team without the respect of his teammates?
This is bias because you haven't or perhaps do not want to hear from the number of players in the league who want him to play. Not just players but coaches as well Now this statement here could be wrong but I also believe that Vick was not the only one in the league fighting dogs. But he certainly was the biggest fish, and I believe that Vick also took the fall for other players in the NFL
Don't know how you get that? http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/V/VickMi00.htm 38-28-1 during the regular season 2-2 during the post season 71 Total Games Started 40 Total Wins 56.3% Winning Percentage.
