I think this guy is going to be a big contributor this year.. When I saw him playing last year he seemed to have what it takes to make it as a LB.. Hopefully he gives us what we have been looking for a solid tackler and a presence when he is on the field and maybe a pass rush...
He's a player I've been rooting for because of his connection through his brother, former Jet Adrian Murrell, and because of what I've read about him. If the Jets are going to make a major jump, they're going to need to find a great player or two from the lower rungs of their depth chart. Mangini was not good at it, hopefully Ryan will be the sunlight that makes a couple of these young back-ups sprout into productive starters or stars.
Ryan was full of admiration for him yesterday on the presser. "Doesn't catch the ball like his brother , or run like him" lol
Ryan likes his versatility. He has been seen playing ILB and OLB, and is taking to it well. If the reports are honest and not full of fluff, he's making at the very least the Practice Squad.
I want this guy to have a role with this team. I always liked his brother and it would be great to have a sibling legacy.
