I have to admit.....I, like most fans that i have come into contact with, didn't enjoy seeing our boy Taylor dressed like that. You got me there.

    Yes but it's fitting.

He hasn't exactly done anything, except for flap that c*ck sock above his chin.

    JohnnyJohnson do your homework
Defensive player of the year 2007, dumb A$$. So tell me, what has Gholston done for you? Or any outside linebacker/defensive end you guys have had?

And Crowder had more tackles than Bart Scott last year....there's your homework for the next few minutes.(hint: nfl.com)
Oh yeh while you are looking, take a look at Davone Bess- you'll hear his name called often this season he's an underneath/slot guy. (he had one of the best seasons for a rookie undrafted WR ever in the NFL)

You guys get away with cussing here quite a bit more than on the dolphins forum.....i like it

JJ what are Jets fans accustomed to? You guys have only won the division TWICE since the beginning of the AFC east.....here's some light reading for "the congregation"

Sometimes, I cater to the audience.

I knew you'd enjoy the results of this exercise.

The AFC East has existed since the 1970 AFL merger.

The Colts moved out of the division in 2002.

So, from 1970 through 2001 (including the two strike years), it was possible for the other four teams to finish anywhere from first to fifth. From 2002 to 2008, it was possible to finish from first to fourth. If the teams had the same records, I ranked them based on the tiebreakers.

    Here's how it came out....

Miami Dolphins: 14 first-place finishes. Average finish of 2.16

New York Jets: 2 first-place finishes. Average finish of 3.38.

New England Patriots: 10 first-place finishes. Average finish of 2.79.

Buffalo Bills: 7 first-place finishes. Average finish of 3.08.

(The Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts, for the record, had six first-place finishes.)

Jeez, you Phins fans love to look at stats without actually looking at them in context.

Was Crowder competing with the likes of Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs for tackles?

    a) I hope Sanchez starts against the Phins.

    b) I hope Sanchez is wearing that when he plays; this way you'll have to admit you lost to a QB that was wearing a belly-shirt.

2007 Defensive player of the year was Bob Sanders "Dumb A$$" Maybe you're the one who needs to brush up on their homework.

As far as Bart Scott goes, he was the one who often had to drop into coverage because Ray isn't quick enough to cover at this point in his career. Scott has made it to a pro-bowl, Channing Crowder has not. Scot is recognized as a better talent than Crowder, that should be obvious.

Uniform i would laught at that one too, even if we lost. Belly shirt- thats a good one
You bring up a good point about Ray Lewis et al.
That brings me to the question of whether Scott can be that full time guy. It sure seems that playing with Ray Lewis could take some pressure off.
Hell i am liking you guys so far, i was expecting a lot more cussing and being called "gay"...which is just immature nonsense. Nyjunc comes to our forum and has some good discussions/bantering so i thought i would give it a shot.

Frozen who is that on your sig? Did he make a tackle this year? Kiddin, i like Harris - he has potential

2 Div championships T W O -man i would be pissed too. Where is Rich Kotite when you need him?

Ok ok i missed by a year (2006 DPOY)....i am trying to work AND keep up with you guys at the same time. The point was that JJ said Taylor hasn't done jack when that surely isn't true.

You mean the quote from Namath in my sig? Or my avatar being David Harris? Harris probably would have lead the team in tackles if it weren't for a groin injury midseason. If you were referring to Namath, I keep it because it's a good football quote, not because I'm trying to live in the past. In fact I wasn't even alive when he was QB for the Jets.

Still doesn't change the fact that you need to check the sources before you spew random info such as 2007 Defensive player of the year" which you were wrong about.

Not to mention David Harris recorded more tackles in his rookie season than Crowder did in his BEST season. He missed 5 games and still recorded 75 tackles this year.

I actually like Harris, he was a nice surprise.......i wouldn't turn him down if he was coming to the dolphins that's for sure. I wasn't spewing, i missed by one year. Tel me something truthfully. Do you enjoy your coach getting into a petty argument with one of our mouthy players? Seems like he would be above that kind of thing. This kind of stuff never happened when he was in Baltimore right?

I think he can definitely shoulder the load of the Defense. Besides, he has Jenkins in front of him and David Harris (who's no slouch) playing alongside him.

And as Frozensmoke just mentioned, while on the Ravens, Scott dropped into coverage many times because Lewis couldn't. Harris isn't that good in coverage either, so Scott will be doing that again.

The point being, simply spewing stats doesn't tell the whole story.

    poor jet fans

Once again football season is cranking up and so is their desperate hope. Last year Favre was the answer, that's all this board had to offer during the 9-3 start. Then as every other season since Namath's infamous "raised finger", hope began to fade. THe wheels fell off one-by one until they were beaten at home by the Fins. Now they have a new head coach that has taken the low road and called out head coaches and players in his own division. Ouch...this is gonna really hurt when he finds out what coaching is all about Hold on tight Jet Fans< Ryan is gonna get humbled quick and it's gonna hurt! Ryan try shuting your pie hole and coach.

A buddy of mine is an Eagles fan and we always crack up that the one common thread our teams ever had is, KOTITE! Cam was only given the chance to ruin 1 franchise, Kotite was given the keys to ruining 2 franchises...
