Okay, I want to ask something of devil and murrell. You guys are good baseball posters, and tend to look critically at things. Leaving behind your hatred of the Yankees, how do you think they look overall this year?
I haven't seen a lot of them, but they look fairly similar to the last few years to me. Great offense, pretty good but inconsistent starting pitching, and problems in the bullpen. I think they make the playoffs, but they aren't built to win once they get there IMO.
I totally agree with this. Their pitching is a little questionable but they are rarely out of a game because of their offense.
Thanks devil and murrell for that answer. It's exactly what I've been saying. But I'm working from a small sample size of, oh, 5 to 8 years, so I could be wrong.
"AND THERE"S A DRIVE TO DEEP LEFT FIELD , IF IT'S FAIR IT'S GONE...." ....and it's foul I can't stand Sterling
It will be interesting to see who closes this one. Papelbon had food poisoning yesterday so who knows if he's recovered? I wouldn't mind seeing Bard or Saito, especially if Papelbon is less than 100%.
