    Mark also made it clear that he was determined to be in camp on time...he wanted no contract distractions. That's my boy.

    Its alot of money, but he actually comes cheaper than Favre. haha.

    I don't get people saying he is the richest in Jets history. Didn't Chad have a $64 million contract?

    Glad it got done. Would've liked to have seen it be a 6 year deal but not going to nitpick. Hopefully we can get all the contract nonsense out of the way before TC so we can just focus on football.

    Probably highest paid rookie.

    Either way it's a stupid claim. Average contracts in football are always increasing. You can't offer Stafford the same contract you offered to..say..Bledsoe when he was a rookie. Times change, money increases.

    They did well signing him that cheaply. He's well below the Stafford contract both in total money and guarantees. Well done.

    Shows that Matthew Stafford, JaMarcus Russell, Vince Young and Matt Ryan all got more guarenteed money. Great work by the Jets.

    Ryan, Stafford, Russell, and Young were all picked higher than Sanchez - it's obvious that they'd get bigger deals.

    Young and Ryan were selected 3rd overall and Russell and Stafford were 1st overall picks.

    Chad was overpaid from the start.

    And yes, I think Sanchez comes cheaper than Chad.

    What's the point of still complaining about the Mark Sanchez selection? You've been whining since Goodell read his name off of that card.

    i am quite happy about the numbers if they are 5-50 and 28 guaranteed!

    this could have been much much worse, and if he doesnt work out it will still be a backbreaker but much less of a back breaker than it could have been.
