Board has been very quiet......here's a player that will be a surprise small school prospect.

Jabba...here's a guy that you will love in next year's draft.

For those of you that remember, I brougt up Alex Carrington's name, from Arkansas State about 5 months ago.

Alex is 6'5", 280 LBs. Has has good quickness and is well suited for a 3-4 end.

He was named the Sun Belt defensive player of the year following the 2008 season after he made 10.5 sacks and 19 tackles for loss in 12 games.

Probably projected, for now, as a rd 4/5 pick...but will climb up the draft.

    Good call WW

Alex Carrington is getting a ton of pre-season recognition right now. This guy is a hell of a 3-4 defensive end prospect.

I like Corey Wootton a lot as a 34 DE prospect.

    Thanks E!!!

Hard to ignore Carrington's production. Wouldn't be surprised to see him get drafted in Rd 2 next year.
Small School but some very good players came from Arkansas St........Maurice Carthon, Bill Bergey, Fred Barrett and Ken Jones.

I'm hoping to get some film of his upcoming 2009 season.

Jets should get a DE thats more of a high potential player because they dont need help right away

Actually, our defensive line needs all the help they can get.

you mean a high potential project?

A High potential player could work out within a month of him playing.

You sure? I always thought drafting players with low potential was the way to go
