It's funny watching the people (Jets fans) who defended Chad - with the very same excuses that these Phin fans are using - now attack him.

One group has awoken, while the other has yet to wake up.

It's fun to just sit back and watch.

Well whatever you need to believe to make yourself happy. But if the rest of the team had played better, maybe Chad would have too. I think you're trying to isolate the blame and focus it on one player, by labling Chad the worst player on the field that day. Well I would say it was a toss up between the Oline, the WR's and Chad. All played awful against the Ravens.

Ya know I realize Jet fans just can't seem to get that there are thousnad reasons why team succeed and fail, but for some reason Jet fans seem stuck on Pennington. I mean, just last year you had a Future HOF QB who was coming off a 13-3 season and he goes to NY and can't even get your team to the playoffs. The Jets went out and spent 100 mil dollars last year in up grades and added one of the best QB's to ever play the game and you still didn't make the playoffs.

Why is it you Jet fans can't seem to grasp the fact that Chad wasn't the problem? I mean, is he supposed to be this magician that gets to the playoffs and plays so well that the rest of the team can continue to play badly and Chad will just make up for all their mistakes? Is that what you Jet fans think is Chad's job? You guy's don't even acknowledge the fact that the same thing Chad went through as a Jet, Brett Favre went through. The same results Chad had, Brett had......this isn't rocket science, it's not some hidden code that needs to be craked by the FBI.

Yet here we are 10 pages deep into this thread and you Jet fans just refuse to accept the fact that even with a HOF QB at the helm and a 100 million dollar shoping spree, the Jets still couldn't get to where their fans are blaming Chad for not getting them. It's laughable how Jet fans will bend over backwards to blame Chad even though the Jets had so much more last year and still got the same results. But let me guess, it was different last year right, Brett had some sort of disadvantage Chad didn't have...right? Hell, Chads not even a Jet anymore and you're still blkaming him for Miami not making it past Baltimore as if Chad was the only player on the field and he didn't block and he didn't ctach and he couldn't run and he couldn't tackle. Good lord, it's a sickness with you guys.

Ya know what, If Chad gets us to the playoffs for the next 2 years and we don't reach the SB, WELL AT LEAST WE WERE IN THE PLAOFFS!

Did Brett wake you up last year? Hmmm? How mcuh success did he bring the Jets? Did you finally see that awesome season you could never have with Chad? What results did you have with a "real QB"?

The hype machine is fine and all, but I will be happier when I see some wins to go along with all this smack talk we have had to listen to. I got nothing against being confident and the team having some swagger, but some of this is getting to be a bit much. Especially when we haven't had a single game to back any of it up. If they come out and flop a few games out the gate the hate on this site will be out of control.

The way I see it, Brett and Chad and the Jets and Phins all ended up in the same place -- on the golf course while the best teams with better QBs played into February.

The only difference is, with the Jets, I saw Brett fail once; Chad, I've seen him fail over and over again in the exact same ways. And now I've seen him fail with both the Jets and Phins. Someone please turn off this broken record.

Don't worry guys, that is the dolphin mentality. They are happy to be there, that's all. You are ranking on brett favre yet when chad does the same thing in the playoffs, you defend chad. Hate to break it to you guys, Sometimes the Jets won games in spite of Brett Favre. Dolphin fans to me are the stupidest fans in professional sports history. As Jets fans yeah, we are optimistic and we love our team. That is what being a fan is. Being happy and supporting your team in all they do. Yet we are also smart enough to realize the team's flaws and we as fans criticize them. It's what any fan does......except the dolphin fan. You see Miami is the home of the bandwagon fan. I was there opening day, when dolphin fans didn't even sell out their home opener! There were more Jet Fans and continue to be more Jet fans at their home games than dolphin fans. They don't even sell out playoff games!!
The dolphin fan had no belief in their team. Even their Franchise Player, #99 wanted to get out of town so badly, he choose Dancing with the Stars over working out for football. yet you come into the message board of a team you have beaten once in that past how many games? Are you serious?! Talking trash like your team knocked ours out of the playoffs?

Smart football fans know this, before the kickoff of the last game of the season, the jets season was already over. The dolphins had all the momentum. Yet they only won by 7 points. Then our new head coach decided to take the dolphins offense to school in the playoffs. Dolphins shouldn't feel disrespect that they aren't the team to beat in the AFC East. The Pats lost their leader(Brady), the Jets had a hurt favre and were a dying team the last game and the bills imploded on themselves. Even the bills lost their starting QB. You won it by luck, smile with your 2008 AFC east championship hat and Thank God that all the breaks went your way.

Now a new season, and the player who is talking the most is Channing Crowder?!, Not even Joey Porter is talking as much as crap as he is. Be serious dolphin fans, go to your own message board, cream your pants how Pat White will make your wildcat better and just wait till the season starts, shut your mouths. I will take Porter, Taylor hell even Greg Camarillo can talk more than Crowder.

And please don't talk to the Jets like this is a rivalry. Like Jonathan Vilma said a few years ago. "It is not a rivalry until you win some!"

No, I think the majority of Dolphin fans can be happy and enjoy winning, while Jet fans can only be happy if they win it all. I don't think we want to win it all any less than Jet fans, we're just mature enough to understander we don't always get what we want and sometimes it's better to have something, than nothing.

Right. Dolphins fans as a whole are more mature than Jets fans as a whole. Why don't you go back to fin heaven and chat with your more mature friends then?

    Get over yourself.

Wow. You've captured the entire Chad Pennington era here in New York in a matter of a few sentences. Good job.

    Fixed it for effect...

Well gee since you're so use to winning SB's and having success....that is till Chad was drafted by the Jets and you were forced to endure all the horrible football and losing that followed, thanks to Chad! Why don't you share with the world allllll the greatness thats wore the MIGHTY green at the QB position and all their success before Chad?

vinny T and the AFC championship game is a good start.

We know that Chad had a good run here, but to think he's beyond "pretty good" is just a homer assumption.

The league knows what he is, its always the team he is on and their die hard fans that try to make him better than he is.
