Yeah, I know, but he's not learning anything in the minors, and the team needs to stop sending guys down who don't actually deserve it. I'd actually like to see him be a late man and pitch 5 times a week. Maybe we can make him the next Joba! ---------------- Wendlestedt is incredibly inconsistent from pitch to pitch tonight.
apparently its a 2 week "trial" of having Wang back in the rotation and Hughes in the bullpen. If Wang does well, Hughes will go back down to AAA to get his innings. If Wang implodes, Hughes slides back into the rotation and the Yankees have to do something with Wang.
on short rest? Remember, he wasn't supposed to pitch until Friday. Although... today should be his side session/bullpen, so he might be able to give an inning or two a la pettite a couple years ago
Swish is actually filling in admirably tonight. When you have a 4 and 5 hitter who can't get the ball out of the infield though, you're going to have a tough time scoring runs. --------------- Tomko looking okay. At least there's that.
I agree. He's done a good job, but I still miss Mark. I don't think we would've been trailing for this long with him out there.
WOW. Just tuned in the Yankee game because the Mets were rained out. I see Posada smoke one down the right field line. I am thinking double as I am watching lots of games at Citifield. The freaking ball is a home run. In Citifield, its a one bounce double to the right field wall.
