He does lose it when he starts shouting about Pettite.

Technically, he won the argument by telling somebody to cut the caller off.

I heard Mike's rant the other day. I thought he was going to let out a big fart right on the air after each sentence. It would have made his argument sound a lot funnier. :)

What part of it was retarded? From what I could tell (although it was hard to make out over the fat man's conniption), he was trying to state a fact... the Joba has one of the best ERAs in the game since being made a starter.

I think he said top five or six, though, and he said his ERA was in the top five or six among starters over the same period since he had become a starter. And at the time of that call, it was true, believe it or not. His ERA as a starter was around 2.80.

As it stands right now, he'd have the ninth best ERA out of all starters over the same period (I think). Right now, his ERA as a starter is 3.12. Who's been better than that since Joba started starting?

Johan, Lincecum, Sabathia, Halladay, Billingsley, Cliff Lee, Haren, and Grienke.

Haren, Lee, Billingsley, and Grienke have all passed him in the past two or three starts.
