Izod on the north side is a great getaway for north and east.

Unfortunately Izod is not great if your trying to get home via Rte 17 to GSP. We gave up on the GWB route years ago. It will be what it will be...another reason why it might be one year and out for us.

The cruel irony of the entire mess is that the longest suffering fans who most contributed support to this team throughout all of those lean years are the ones who might wind up finally dropping out due to inconvenience, parking hassles, poor sight lines and the stepchild-like syndrome that the Jets so unabashedly exhibit. Unfortunate that Woody didn't get that and find a way to take better care of the long-time supporters of his precious team.

Enjoy the money, Woody. I hope you fucking choke on it.

Actually, Izod is PERFECT if you want get to Rte 17.

Just come out of the lot, loop around to 120 North...make a left on Moonachie Avenue and a right onto Rte 17 North.

Should take less than 10 minutes.

I live in CT and have been doing that routine for almost 20 years.

I suppose everyone has their own exit routine. Let's hope most of us get to select seats that make sense for a quick exit. There's nothing worse than sitting in stop-and-go in the freaking parking lot and killing that much time before you even get to a major artery.

Not true at all. Take 120 to 46 West, to Rt. 17

Its all about the exit. Yankee stadium takes me 40 min. from my seat to my driveway and I live in Oradell. Its always, always, betterto park on the perimeter and set yourself up nicely by the exit and walk instead of sitting in the lot. Anyone need fast exists out of Jets or Yanks just ask. I am telling you, if you are going home to the east or north then the Izod north side with the service road can not be beat. You avoid the stadium and Izod and never ever wait more then 7 minutes to be out of the lot and flying home, never no matter how close or how big. Same for the Yanks. I would love to meet anyone who wants to check out the location, tailgate and follow out for game 1

Its all about how many accounts started the year we moved. 1981-last year of shea should be no problem as far seats remaining. Like Champ said, the year we moved we acquired a lot of new accounts. The question is, how many accounts. I am thinking we could get to 1986 and then its UD is sold out. I hope so for 227

Exactly, I grew up about 10 minutes north of oradell off of 17. Never waited in my life coming from Izod the last 20+ years.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this but just take Izod right into Paterson Plank and you'll make an easy right exit onto Rt 17 North about 1.5 mile down the road (Paterson Plank).

120 to moonachie ave and 46 both work too. Yet Paterson Plank is most direct since it's right next to Izod.

Dude, I'm in New Milford, How 'bout that? I never parked on that side before. Isn't the walk a killer over the highway through the cattle and shoot, all that stuff? My seats are on that side too (122) and I've never parked on the arena side. Can you choose to park there? I always thought that was where they ushered cars once the other lots were filled. From NM I take 17 all the way to 3, and park over by where the Giants just built there practice fields in Lot 13. That's because I joined a big tailgate group over there. Even on that side, leaving isn't terrible - I go out the back, under 3, take the service rd past Sheraton, loop back over 3 and go past Izod up Washington Ave. By then I feel like I need a stop - and do so at The Grasshopper to watch the 4PM games. Great place.

Woody Says Jets Are Very Close to Selling Out PSLs

So Woody thinks, having gone thru 1981 Seniority, that PSLs are almost sold out....and, if not for the economic downturn, would be sold out of PSLs already.

And remember, according to Woody, the Coaches Club Auction was "a huge success".

    Clueless.

I grew up in New Milford, class of 77. Nah, the walk is fine. I like the walk myself and the buildup to the game, 10-12 min.. When we lose it sucks. You can choose to park there even though when its 8:30 and there is not one soul they stop us and tell us the other lot is open and look at us like we are crazy, we are in. There is so much room to tailgate that we go to a corner with a dead area and take a 25 x 25 space and layout stuff likes its our family room. We leave via a service road but you need to park in a certain area to get to it. We go by the hopper on the way home. We don't take 17 or even continute on 120 to 46. We wind up by Manny's and cut througb Tetoboro on red neck road. No traffic at all. Me and Rich are the masters of getting out of NY stadiums. I will make a map with detals for anyone as the season approaches and give my cell # to all if you want to park by us for game 1 and follow us out, then that's cooll. Just like helping people and if you live in Bergen, north of this place or need to go the Tappan Zee or GW, this is it. Plus my man Rich, sets up the best tailgate around and is master chef. We would love to add more people as long as you love pork and beer

I think I've gone through entire weekends on Pork, Beer and Coffee. ; ) I may take you up on the offer, especially after 09 when our tailgate crew gets busted-up over this fiasco. I think many of us will be regrouping our tailgates then.

I didn't grow up in NM, I was class of '80, Cranford NJ. I got my season tickets when I was a H.S. Junior. Didn't even drive yet. We took the bus to PA, then the 7 to Shea. We went to that 14-7 MNF game win over Minnesota back then and I remember being soooo cool in class telling the other kids that I was going to the MNF game that night. Mom let me go to school late the next day. Oh, and the Jets won to boot. Those were good times.

To think that as a young punk bagging groceries at Pathmark, my tickets were much easier to afford then than they are now. That's embarrassing to admit, but it's true.

Got off topic... Soon the parking at this new un-named club seat monster will cost more than the season of games at Shea. There was no "status" in that place. Now, this place will be nothing but.

I'd love to tailgate with your crew one of these days. My tailgating crew has been split up a bit the last couple years due to construction/parking plus a couple folks moving out of state (those bastards!). We still have a decent crew for 2009, but who knows what will happen in 2010. Regardless, would love to meet up for at least a game.

Guys, does anybody have a read on where they are in the assignments. What I mean by that is, what seniority is up. A while back when I talked to the one fellow on the phone, he told me "end of may, beginning of June" they would be calling me about seats.....but I have 1999 seniority. When I scan this thread it looks like they haven't even cracked the 80's yet? Is that possible? Again, any idea of where they are at?

I really don't understand the concept of "being at the mercy of owners of seats". If you have been buying seats from somebody for 12 years or longer, why the hell didn't you just put your name on the wait list and get your OWN. I put myself on the wait list, waited 10 years, and ended up with four seats together in 314. Sure, they aren't great lowers or anything but they are mine. After two or three seasons of buying them from another party, the fact you weren't trying to get your own is, well, interesting to say the least.

314 was contacted yesterday and he is 1981. They say my date is June 16th and I am 1985. So, over the next two weeks, they will be moving through '82, '83, '84, reaching 1985 by two weeks from yesterday.
