While what U posted it quite correct it would also affect everybody who rents from a STH. In my case one of my renters is a STH in his own right circa 83 so he should wind up with seats in the UD so he would not be in bad shape if ur scenerio came to pass. In my case for your situation to occur it would require me to move back to the NY/NJ area which at this moment iis very, very, very unlikely. BTW what do you mean that U "earned" the seats. I took it to mean that U have been going to games including this season for 29 years & got nothing in return As for ur 2K PSL proposal sorry I disagree. I look at a FB game as like to a Broadway show U pay for the performance & that is it U are finished. A FB game is the same as a play ur watch NYJs perform & home U go so the NYJs fulfilled there "contract" when the game was performed. I cannot see having to pay for the privilege of paying for ur seat so U can see a FB game. I do not know what the big deal is in not been able to "transfer" my seats to others. As for parking it is what it is & most likely if the UD had the lowest possible PSL then I am sure it will also have the sucky parking just like it does now as a non PSL free area since this stadium is geared towards a country club feeling then a rabid FB feeling. May be in looking back at it all it would have been better for Woody to have gone for the Kraft plan when he built his stadium instead of his greedy approach of PSLs + huge price increases per seat
He's talking about being lucky enough to know him in person. Which I imagine is slightly luckier than we are to know him through the Internet.
He sure does have a very big opinion of himself doesn't he? He actually reminds me of one of my coworkers at my part-time job. If you were to hear this guy talk, you would think he was the best employee there and was actually the manager. He makes it seem like the place would fall apart without him. The truth is, he's been at this job for 40 years and hasn't moved up the ladder at all in those 40 years, and gets the least amount of work done out of everyone. Everyone else considers him a joke and just laughs him off for the crazy shit that comes out of his mouth. Sound familiar?
so ks you have a voice that you use everytime you read a post from champ? this thread last 60 pages with champ here all throughout it and it took until now for the stuff that usually comes to happen. i would say that both champ and everyone in the thread have done a very very good job.
Yes, everyone else has been very helpful. Champ, on the other hand, is useless. If anyone asks him a question it's either: 1. "I posted this 15 pages back, go and find the answer" instead of just answering the question. Making someone go hunting for a answer in a thread this large is very inconsiderate. 2. "Why do you want to know that?" instead of just answering the question. I asked a simple question because I was curious what someone else would do if we made the playoffs or Super Bowl who resold their tickets and he acted like I asked him for his SSN. 3. "You won't be getting tickets anyway because you're after 1984". I don't see anyone else pretending they're being interrogated when asked a question. Everyone else has posted what sections, rows, and seats were available when they spoke to their rep. They've answered every question asked of them to the best of their ability because everyone else is trying to HELP the other people waiting to get called. What a concept I know. Helping a fellow Jets' fan. Unheard of in Texas apparently. Anyway, I'm done with him and any questions surrounding him. He's back on ignore and I'll just have to wade through all of the posts again looking for relevant info from some of the helpful posters here.
oh i agree with you ks, completely! i am saying its surprising that it went this long until more than one person at a time got annoyed. there were a few here and there but they usually fizzled after a post or 2. thats gotta be annoying to have to try and figure out what is going on cause you have someone on ignore.
Especially when that someone makes 2, 3, 4, or even 5 posts in a row to completely different people
It's been aptly called the "dumbing of America." I'm not saying this is Champs' dilemma or even a lack of education on his part, but people no longer need to spell correctly or, in many cases, they don't even know how to spell. And they don't know conjugation of verbs in most cases, so they conveniently fudge it by using the shortened texting vernacular. Consequently, if you don't know the difference between "your" and "you're," who cares? Nobody. Who cares about the difference between the conjugation of a verb or what a pronoun is? Use "UR," that will suffice. And that's the problem with the deterioration of the English Language as we know it. I have a cousin who I love dearly and who likes to come with me to Jets games. But when he emails me he uses "UR" constantly when referring to either "your" or "you're," and I understand why and just give it a pass.
The best thing to do is to go to the new stadium site on the New York Jets website and pick the 3D view. The scroll around the upper deck and decide which view you like the best. I then ranked my choices by section and row. When the rep called and asked what was available, I was able to pretty much decide based on availability and my rankings. For example, sections 312, 315, 337, and 340 have the same sitelines. The same for 311, 316, 336, and 341 etc. I decided I liked the view from the closer I got to the middle of the field, even if it was slightly higher than the view from the end zone sideline, the corner, or the end zone.
I don't trust the 3D view. I think its a lot farther then they show, I am gonna stick with my original plan and go lows as possible within a couple of rows. My bet is side or corner of end zone, shady side, row 13, just a total guess.
heard today on 101.5 a local landscaping nursery raffling off 2 jets tickets. isnt this against the season ticket contract agreement. brother in law is out of town cant confirm this or not.
I have been saying this for 2 weeks but only one person responds and then Champ does 5 posts. I guess that's his plan with a negative post, blow it away with 5 of his own. I igonore him
I agree, we live in the "texting" era of the English language. I am not tooting my horn here, but years ago I took a typing test and could type 50 words per minute. Not sure what the big deal is in typing your instead of ur but whatever. Again I was not bagging on him just pointing out how he types but he got very defensive for whatever reason. "Put me on ignore". Some people just don't get the point. I was just observing his writing style, not telling him to change it.
Many years ago, when I entered high school, my folks insisted I take the typing class. Back then, there were two routes in high school, "College Prep" and "General." If you thought you were going to be able to attend college, you took the college prep route, but that route did not include typing, because it was thought back then that if you went into the business world, you'd have a secretary to do the dictation and typing for you. Silly, I know... and I'm surely dating myself with this story. But my parents insisted I cross lines and take the typing course anyway, even though it was in "General." So here I was, sitting in a class full of wanna-be female secretaries (hey... not so bad though...)! Well, I quickly found out after entering college and the business world how valuable those typing skills were. Other kids were PAYING people to type out their papers in college, while I was able to bang mine out myself. In business, I can't tell you the number of letters I typed myself, not to mention applications, resumes, letters to financial institutions, etc. Unfortunately, today's students don't even consider typing as something valuable, even though most communication is done now through emails. I don't get it. They graduate from college or trade schools with (hopefully) some of the many skills they're going to need to succeed, but the one thing they can't do is type well. In fact, they've used their thumbs so much for texting, they wouldn't know where to start on a regular keyboard. The other skills being lost are correct spelling and conjugation. The most commonly misused words I've noticed are the three "there, their and they're" words. I see them mixed up all over the place, sometimes in the same sentence with the same meaning, but spelled differently. If only they'd take the time to study those three and figure out which is the correct one to use, they'd come across as reasonably skilled at the English language. But no, they don't want to take the time, nor do they even want to figure out the difference between "your" and "you're," so they type UR instead. Many think it's cool, but I think it looks pretty dumb and is probably an indication that you really don't know the difference or are unwilling to learn the difference.
I'm right there with you, but I actually take it one step further. When I'm texting on my phone, I actually use proper English, and I won't shorten words unless I need a couple of characters because I'm over the stupid limit. I'm ok with other people using it in texts, but it's really a pet peeve of mine to see it on a message board.
