I think the transfer thing is a scare tactic being used to sell PSLs.

I'm not sure I would characterize how I fell as satisfied. I think the new stadium is a fiasco built for non-football fans with tons of money. I would prefer to stay in the current Giants Stadium in my current seats with the old first-come first-served parking.

I go to games for the football, not the concourses or the stadium food or some ridiculous club with high ceilings and wide-screen TVs. $400 a ticket is a joke. They should have built a stadium where all the best seats were affordable to more than just the filthy rich.

I just feel that, with all I heard this past month, that I was going to do worse with regard to my seats in the new stadium. I'm not happy about moving away from people I've sat near for 25 years and for now being 30+ rows higher than I am now.

I think the Jets and Giants should be ashamed of themselves for building a country club disguised as a stadium and for forsaking their true fans for the almighty dollar. There was a happy medium that could have been struck, but the two New York teams did not choose that route and sadly, Jet football will never be the same.

I'll let you know how I truly feel about my seats in September 2010.

Very well put. Let's not leave the Giants out of this. I think this whole situation is a result of them trying to "monetize" (I love that horseshit term) their 140,000 name waiting list.

I agree 110% (just to add more horseshit) It would not have been too much to make some aspect of this building better for the general population. A little less club space, maybe some large roof coverage so even if we stay cold, we could be drier. There's nothing added that the higher price seats warrant.

    *sigh*

It doesn't. I'll say it for you slowly this time:

    I. Was. Curious. How. Another. Season. Ticket. Holder. Handled. The. Playoff/Super Bowl. Tickets. Arrangement. With. The. Person. They. Sell. Them. To.

I should have known better than to ask someone as grumpy as you a simple question without you acting like it's an interrogation.

Remember - the people this whole situation effects the most are those who buy a bunch of seats then sell them to people. If there are hardships, the people to whom the tickets are eventually sold and who attend the games may not be happy. They may complain and decide not to go the next year. At that point, the original purchaser may have to sell the tickets to someone else and risk that happening again. At some point, if this happens enough, the person buying the tickets and selling them to someone else may eventually have to stop buying the tickets and selling them to someone else.

At that point, of course there will be no change for the person buying the tickets and selling them to someone else. But maybe that person will be a little bummed, even if there's no change to that person's life, financial situation, enjoyment of games from home, etc.

We need to remember these heroes in these challenging times.

Well said. I never realized the hardship, the emotional duress, the unrest, and the uncertainty created by this new stadium on those who sell their season tickets to others every year. It is heartbreaking to realize these long-term financial relationships between those far away from New Jersey, or those who just don't want to go to games, and those who buy their tickets may never be the same.

Look we all had choices who secured there seats up to now since we are in "it is what it is" situation as the stadium country club style is being built no matter what our feelings are. So if you need the game day experience rush & you are lucky enough to secure tix U take them & await the 2010 seaon to determine if U will continue into the 2011 season. While none of us fans know for sure I would strongly suspect that some of the earlier years STHs actually opted for out similar to the massive turnover that took place prior to the 84 season. Since we took the tix instead of opting for out that means we have to just move on since our bitching & moaning will come to naught in any case. Look at our situation if we were NYG STHs ur PSL wud have been 1G per seat & mine wud have been 5Gs per seat which is the good side I think of the all the bad that the new stadium encompasses. Again congrats on ur tiix

Sorry I do not buy what U said 1 iota. While for sure there are people who secured season tix & scalp them I think the majority of STHs go to the games at least that is the case where I sit when I used to go & the renters of my tix tell me that that is the case today. Where does ur info come from?

Yes but IMHO U R evading my question which is why would U want to know what my arrangement is vs ur arrangement since they can be totally different vs on many, many factors. The renter of 6 of my seats is a STH in his own right circa 83 so he to will probably squeeze into the non PSL UD but since he likes my seats way better he takes my seats & rents out his seats to a non STH. The 4 seats I still have coming up are circa 84 so those have a totally different arrangement then my circa 77 seats. I have already forewarned the renter of those seats that most likely they will be disappearing since they are at the very bottom of the 84 pecking order & if they desire to continue that can contact the NYJs directly or advise me what type of PSL they wish me to buy on there behalf.

I think the Jets should have charge PSLs for the uppers also. And it should have been graduated just like the lower deck. I would have paid $2000 a seat for better UD seats and it would have given me transfer rights and better parking. Now it just feels like we are in "steerage" class on the Jet cruise ship. It is all unfortunate. And I don't feel fortunate to have seats. I've earned them. What bothers me is the entire sideline was taken up by outrageous club seats and overpriced PSLs. Of course most STH went to the UD.

we are 1993 and it doesnt look good. we have been in the uppers for 16 years in the same seats and now woody and co looks like there gonna take our seats away for no apparent reason. on a brighter note purchased a 52" samsung lcd 1080p tv from a place called abes of maine in raritan center. got a sweet deal with a sound bar and blue ray dvd player. all in preparation for sundays at home next season. screw you woody and your soon to be half empty stadium.

I only had my seats last year and this coming year, but apparently your seniority is when you went on the wait list. So that goes all the way back to 1998 for me. My buddies and I are planning on moving down, we'll have to see. I am not a huge fan of end zone seats, but it's not like club seats are a reasonable option for anybody I know. ha

I can confirm it from the letters I got from the team. It says "1999" which is the year I went on the waiting list. I recieved my seats last season. I can scan the letter in if you want?

I went on the waiting list the morning after we lost to the Broncos in the AFC championship game under Vinny. Good times, good times.

By the way, sorry I originally said 1998. It was 99, I just checked the letter again.
