From what I'm hearing, it seems that 1981 seniority will get us the same or slightly worse seats. Of course, the same seats will also be worse anyway since they will be further away... (We're currently in section 333 row 12 (or 13, not sure) around the 20-25 yd line on the shady side)

You are making up the tailgate hassles. There is no information that things will change regarding tailgating. I park in the I-zod lot now and there is plenty of room and while its a 10-12 min. walk, we fly out of their after the game. Lets not pile on here, its all about the tickets, everything else will be fine.

parking has been a major issue all along old new and now future at the meadowlands. for years we parked on the grass right off rt 3. then all of a sudden the police went on a ticket frenzy and no one was allowed to park there any longer.parking will get worse and will be an issue worth discussing. once the xanadu is complete and fully operational it will require x amount of spots even during gameday not everyone is a football fan.

the plan to deal with the parking is a pay to play (park) way. those with psls will get the prime parking spots and those without will park further away. i heard a parking deck is possibly in the future. those who park in the parking deck will not be allowed to tailgate.

so far in a sense there is a mixed emotion type feeling being discussed here. some are happy with the ticket selection procedure and availability others are not. in the end everything evolved a price. dont think the parking wont either. woody will make you pay for everything in that new stadium. locking you into a psl guarnatees his income for years to come on his investment hes not a rich man for giving things away.

    Parking

There's a lot more to worry about than the parking. It probably can't be worse than it's been lately, so save that concern for next year. Plus, don't forget we have the Giants here too, and I don't think the Jets will offer a radically different parking scheme than them. Their fans have a long history of tailgating here. Have you been to a Giants game? They tailgate pretty well themselves. Also, if you've been to other cities, you'll appreciate our parking more. I remember going to see the Jets in Miami in '95 and being stunned what they charged to park in a dirt field. They had all to space in the world for nice paved lots, didn't have them, and charged double what we were paying up here at the time. Then there's New England....

listen i told you the initial parking plan was laid out when i went to the tour. lots 13 & 18 are for non psl and also the izod center. which is plenty. i dont see a tailgating issue or i would be the first to be leading a protest charge

im not sure where i heard it or read it. but certain areas are supposed to be non tailgating zones. there is no way anyone can tell me parking wont be an issue. the closer lots will cost more than the further lots and the psl holders will get the prime locations. anyone who thinks differently is drinking the woody juice.

this is true considering the 5th row of the new stadium is as high as the last row in the old stadium.ive leaned against that wall during a few rain storms and you are up there.those who acquire those seats after bumping up from the lowers will be 1 season ticket holders i guarantee it.

Does anyone have any clue when we'll get a chance at these seats and if they're even worth buying and the most likely location of them? I spoke to a Jets Specialist a couple of times and I still don't understand the whole process.

I got completely dicked on my seniority because the tix were in my uncle's name and not my dad's from 1966 until 2004. So mine shows as 2004.

I know I'll have the leftovers due to seniority but any idea of where those seats will be? TIA for any info.

If you are right, and I have no reason to doubt you, then that is ok, but I still forsee some issues. Lots 13 and 18 are not big enough to hold cars for 27000 people. My rep told me the plan is to use the garage by the Izod center for general admission also.

If there are 28,000 spots and the uppers make up 1/3 of the stadium, that means there should be 9000 spots for people in the uppers. Lots 13 and 18 do not have 9000 spots. So my thought is that , if you are not there 3+ hours before the game, you are in the parking deck, which sucks big time.

Very interesting. I'm going to call my rep. again on Monday and pose that question. The first time I brought this up he said something about a nuclear family and has to be a direct link as in father passed down to son. I should've dug deeper but I will this time. It's my mom's brother. My dad and him originally went in on the tix together and obviously he has a different last name. Then my uncle moved to Florida permanently in 2004 and transferred the tix to me. So I told the Jets rep. it was my uncle on my mom's side and that's when he said well you need proof of nuclear family whatever that means.

    Thanks for the advice!

    Parking

I truly believe that once they knock down GIANTS STADIUM, along with the buses and the NEW Rail Link to the stadium, parking will not be a problem or an issue. Although I am sure that rowdy tailgating will draw immediate attention from The New Stadium Security STORM TROOPER Patrols.

NJ Transit is already offering Mass Transit to the stadium for THIS COMING SEASON!!!! I believe that is is $110.00 Per Person, for a SEASON RAIL PASS, all 10 games (either Giants, or Jets), and it is good on ALL NJ TRANSIT Trains, Buses, and light rail lines no matter where you start from or make connections. www.njtransit.com/jets I think, or if a Giants fan, www.njtransit.com/giants.

So if your lead tailgater with the BUS, VAN, RV, STATION WAGON OR CAR brings all the supplies, you can just take a cheap ride to the game from anywere in Jersey.

I plan on using this service this year. I'll meet my friends with a bag o' beers in hand plus some grub. I can see the drunken trains getting a bit rowdy. I just hope they plan capacity well as this could be a nice option.
