no PSL can be transferred before march 1 2011 unless to immediate family.which is spouse child parent sibling grandchild neice or nephew. only 1 transfer per calender year except in case of death
Easy decision for you Champ, since, don't get me wrong - you don't attend the games anyway, right? I thought I read that somewhere here. I mean, there's no comparison really. You're selling your seats. We're going to the games. You're like, Ticketmaster-guy. The day I read that you haven't gone in x years I was shocked. I couldn't believe it. I appreciate all that you've added to this thread, and it's great that you care as much as you do about this, all things considered. I've benefitted from your posts as have others and please continue, however once I become a broker rather than an ass in a seat, I wouldn't care as much as you, that's for sure. Back to your seats, In my opinion, those first row Upper Prime seats look damn good to me. Better than many PSL locations without a doubt. I think they'd be great seats and you're good to go. (What yard line?) The people who end up buying them from you should be happy. I was really hoping to be in that area myself. The view should be quite nice, and there's a thrill to entering the deck, and proceeding down lower to your seat. Awesome. I don't begrudge you. You've paid your Jets bill all of these years. You are entitled. Just to clarify another's comment, I was offered a few areas where I could have 6 in a row, or 4 behind 2, etc. and it was I who proposed the split just to see how the locations might improve. The Jets rep was as accommodating as can be as to how I wanted the six. They weren't trying to split me up unless of course the split was so I could buy some PSL's and leave the remainders upstairs. I did learn from "Josh" that most Endzone Upper section begin with row 8, but the few that do not begin with row 5. Now his comments make sense to me.
Oh, I know it's optional. It just sucks for someone wanting to go to the game who has four tickets and wants to bring his kids and wants the parking passes. Someone like that would have to buy two parking passes even though everyone is going in one car.
PSL Agreements As I mentioned earlier I kept basically the same two seat location that I've had as a 44 year season ticket holder in the lower end zone. On purchasing a PSL you put down a 10% deposit, and agree to pay in 5 or 15 years on November 1 of each year. To complete the transaction they email you a form to sign electronically showing your seat locations, the deposit and the yearly cost along with the agreement which appears to be identical to the one on the website. I had asked for confirmation, before I realized they would email it to me anyway, and received an exact duplicate of the information I had received. I don't believe that I'll be receiving anything else other than a bill in November and not sure what you haven't received or what you believe is owed to you.
no you dont you have the right to buy 1 parking pass per every 2 seats. so if you own 4 seats you can buy 1 or 2 parking passes if you would like. but this is for PSL owners ONLY. not Upper Deck people. that will probably be 1 parking pass per 4 im guessing. they are probably just sweeten the pot for PSL buyers.
really? i havent received anything nor i have i signed for anything. i was told just yesterday that the finalization of the contract for PSL's was not finished.when did you make your purchase?
Two weeks to go Damn. Well, maybe the two weeks really won't be that many accounts. What year are ya? I wonder how many they take care of in a day. Leaving 227 does suck for you and I feel your pain. This deal blows for all of us, of course, but what really bothers me is that this stadium has less sheltered seats than the current one. There was NO consideration for building a stadium that keeps rain off of the fans. I was never a big retractable roof or dome guy because I like the team enough that I want a weather advantage, BUT, there are plenty of outdoor stadiums with roof protection over large amounts of seats. I feel they've F'd us big time by not designing that with this yet to be named stadium. I can deal with cold - the rain? SUCKS. We'll both be out in it along with everyone else. My advice to everyone is that the end zone seats are not as bad as you might think, PSL or otherwise. Others have mentioned the better views you'll get in the endzone in some aspects (pass routes, seeing holes in the line, kick-off coverage, sacks when you're behind the QB) and I back that 100%. I've sat at the 50 for some preseason games, and left them at half time for my more familiar seats at the top of 122. I can say without hesitation that when the team drives towards you and gets to the 30, there's no better view. Now, having said that, I have yet to experience that view from anywhere other than row 37 lower level, so I might sing a different song in September 2010 when I'll be way up there. I'm banking on a raucous group of true fans along side me, and the old-style J-E-T-S chant returning the way it used to be - as an "argument" between both upper deck end zone loyalists. We don't need no stinkin' fireman to lead us! Woody still sucks.
Yes U R correct now that I live way out of town & for me to go to game would be like purchasing a PSL but paying the airline instead of Woody. Now for me it is nearby games like Houston or Dallas (each a 3 hour drive 1 way) or when I visit my bro Oak or SF. We appeared to take a different attitude to the situation since we knew we had no control over where we would sit & since it was it is what is situation we decided to take 1st available & be as happy as we could be since we knew we were luckier then most. We have 1st row UD sideline seats in the old stadium & were shocked & suprised when more/less the same seats were still available for us when our turn came up to bat. The only changed if U want to call it that is to movement of 2 seats from the NYJ side of the field to the opposing side of the field. You are also correct that since I left NJ in 95 I have been renting the seats to people I know from when I lived in NJ. At this time they are paying the freight so to speak so yes it may be easier then most for me to speak about the entire situation. However, in the end all the bitching & moaning is going to change NOTHING as to what will be anyones elses situation when they are at bat. If Woody boys gave tix to 06 people what can we do about it? If Woody lackeys gave 50 UD tix to his special people what can we do about it? Once you choose the non PSL free route U R in hands of the NYJ employees disbursing the tix plain & simple. I believe our new section is on the left side of the NYJ bench as U are looking down on the bench from the seats. The the 2 tix on the opposing side of the field R directly across from the 6 on the NYJ side. All the seats however are 1st row sideline seats & yes from all the years I have had them it is always a nice feeling to be walking down to them & seeing the entire field in front of U & knowing nobody is in front of U but the field of play
Watched a show the other night on the YES Network called Forbes on Fox. They had a segment about PSLs and the "expert" basically said they've been a good investment ever since Carolina introduced the concept. He did point out that all the PSL's sold up until this year were going for about $3,000-$4,000 until the Cowboys/Giants/Jets raised the ante. He listed the average Giants PSL at $10,000 and the average Cowboys/Jets PSL at $15,000. Maybe I'm missing something but when did the Jets become part of the NFL elite? I guess they're drinking the Kool Aide in Florham Park, that would explain why they would be surprised that so many fans are opting out of the more expensive seats. They just priced them wrong.
they figured since they are the largest market they could do whatever they want. i guess they figured that with 8million people in the metro area that they could surely find 80k to fill those seats no matter what they cost. come to find out they may be realizing they are completely wrong. bottom line is no matter how much people love a particular franchise they still love the game more and can find a cheaper way to enjoy it.
related story thought id share with you season ticket junkies. stopped at the local bestbuy tonight and was checking out the magnolia theatre section. a sales guy of course asked me if i needed help. i viewed the samsung and the sony lcd big screen. im very undecided but in in conversation i mentioned the purchase being caused by the anticipated future forfeit of jets season tickets. he said you are the 3rd customer this month who told me this same story. interesting
Haha. We need to start a 'home theater for former season ticket holder' topic here. There's almost always a silver lining!
When he was asked about the Cowboy's, Giants and Jets PSL's, he only answered that the Cowboy's are almost sold out and did not mention that the Jints went through 140,000 waiting list and are not sold out and the Jets long timers are opting for the NON-PSL. Bogus
