nice post badmoo what i feel stuck out in the post was this sentence. There is no benefit to stay in the lower level when there are so many reasons to move into the uppers. agreed but i can tell you bro the people used to sitting in the lowers arent going to enjoy the experience and the game as much in the uppers. i predict many season ticket holders who opt to move to the uppers from the lowers will only attend the big draw games and sell the rest off. the stadium atmosphere and game day experience is gonna be a changed one. i trully hope that those who do survive the psl blitz are as happy as they pretend to be with the move upstairs. good luck guys i know i will miss the weekly trip to the stadium tailgating with family and friends and the game all because of greed. p.s looking at samsung lcd big screens this weekend.
Not news,we new this months ago because those people are on this site but i feel bad for people. I am lucky to be 81 even though I am pissed that my seats are gonna suck
well thats a little bit of good news! not that anyone on here would miss a playoff game but hey things happen like babies and your own wedding and stuff that you really cant miss. thats GREAT news that you wont lose your deposit if you dont like the fine print, that is HUGE in my eyes. no word on the amount they can raise it or did they not have the info available?
Made my choice today - 1979 Date Well today was the day for me and at 4PM the call came from a Jets rep that I'll call "Josh". I didn't find "Josh" to be pushy, and he only made one sales plea to me regarding the initial costs of the PSL lower end zones, but the plea he made was absurd. He compared my up-front costs of the uppers ($500 up-front now per seat) to what the initial costs of PSL ownership (15 year plan of course) for seats similar to what I am vacating would be. When I reminded him that his payment number would continue for 14 more years, he stopped the pitch. He had one idea left - the idea of dividing my account buying two PSL with my remaining seats upstairs. I told him I initially considered that, but ruled it out once my job status changed (Unemployed) and it made no sense to commit that much future money to tickets. After 30 years of lower level, covered seats I hoped for a shot at those Upper Primes in the lower 4 rows even if they were at the goal line, but they were not to be. None remained or at least not enough to accommodate my 6 seats. I doubt there were any though there could have been pairs but I think he would have mentioned it. I moved on to my next choice - being as low in the upper deck as possible. According to "Josh" that would mean End Zone, in rows 7 to 12 depending on how I wanted to divide my six. I opted to take 3 behind 3 in 2 rows rather than 6 consecutive in order to be as low as I could be in section 301. I've come to appreciate the End Zone sight lines so I chose 301 to be dead-center. This is where Josh and I had a disagreement. He claimed that all Upper EZ sections begin with row 5 due to the handicapped areas but I told him I'd studied the construction cam images and could tell three upper EZ sections have rows equal to the handicapped area. According to Josh, row 9 is really only 4 rows up since they all start seating at row 5. I insisted that it appeared that some sections had "real" rows 1 through 4, and that I'd be interested in them. Nope. He wouldn't budge. I later emailed him a photo showing the section I mentioned, and he replied "Thanks for the pict. All Upper EZ seats begin in row 5" - I give up. Seems to me at this point, the Upper Prime "Low-rows" are gone, the Upper Sidelines appear to be filled up to row 12 or 14 perhaps. (I didn't ask since I prefer End Zone to say, the 10 yard line unless it was close). It's so sad, because even in my case, I'm not happy. I am lucky compared to some, I realize that, yet a new stadium should be something to celebrate. After so many years I should be thinking "upgrade" not, "up you go" - and pay more. Last but not least, Josh was ready to take the credit card payment for my 3K "deposit". If you want to pay by check, they'll give you two weeks to do it.
sorry for your loss. what would piss me off further is the breaking up of your 6 seats in a row. you have them now and should continue to have them this is total bullshit and disregard for a longtime fan and season ticket holder. im telling you people woody johnson wants a whole new crowd in that new taj mahal. hes doing everything possible to force us all out.thanks for the story and cant wait to hear more horror stories as this process continues.
I to had to break up my seats since they said they had only a block of 6 front row seats (that is row 1 not row 5) so for me it was no biggie I took the block of 6 on the NYJ side of the field & the other seats are also in row 1 directly across the stadium on the opposing side of the field. My theory was take the best possible available since I was lucky enough to obtain non PSL free seats which will allow me to determine how I want to aprroach season 2011. Also the $500.00 per seat advance was no biggie either since that is a pay me now or pay later type of thing
In all these posts there has been zero discussion of Fireman Ed's seats. He used to seat in the LD now in the prime PSL seats. Did the NYJs give him a freebie or did he opt to pay a PSL on a firemans salary or did he opt for UD seats or did just opt for out. Anybody have a clue to his new digs in the new stadium?
the jets seem to be changing on the fly and NOTHING is writtne in stone.i was very surprised to hear i can back out of my PSL committment and not lose my deposit.
Yes but if you were to do that do they then put U back in line to pick UD non PSL seats since U had 77 seniority or do U go to the back of the wait list waiting for ur shot at UD seats?
i pick then and there of what is left.if i refuse my PSL,which i dont intend to do unless the New York Jets put something rediculous in the fine print, i will just give up my seats all together.maybe even decide to take the system to court.who knows.
So U back is covered if U decide the fine print is not to ur liking. That is good though only until the UD inventory is depleted then ur dream with ur sons wud also expire if the PSL wordage does not meet with ur approval. May be U should consider having them email U over the PSL contract so that U can review it if U wish to make a move
there is no such contract yet. i contacted them yesterday and complained. again squeeky door gets the oil. i told them if i havent signed anything by now, 3 weeks and 1 day after forking over a $1200 deposit i can not be held to an agreement that isnt even completed. yes my dream will be squashed but not by my doing.and then i will maybe take legal action.i have a sob story the press loves that
17a, on this page ( http://www.newjetsstadium.com/faq.php ) of the new Stadium site, the following is available: "The terms and conditions of each PSL will be set forth in the Personal Seat License Agreement (updated 02-09-09) (PDF) that each purchaser must read and accept to obtain a PSL." Are you awaiting a different document with different terms to sign ??
yes look at # 4 4. Binding Agreement. By signing the Confirmation, Licensee affirmatively has indicated its agreement to, the terms and conditions of this PSL Agreement. when obtaining season tickets you must sign on the dotted line.actually anything with a contract you need to sign something. i havent even received a receipt or even an email confirming my payment. i had Nick send me something with my seat loaction and jets letterhead to confirm my shit
and in #5 rights and obligations you are obligated to buy preseason and regular season games. you have the right but not obligated to buy post season and or parking passes. psl owners can buy 1 parking pass for 2-3 tickets 2 parking passes for 4 or 5 etc
Perhaps I was not clear. I totally understand that you have to sign a contract agreeing to the terms of the PSL Agreement. But there was some talk of backing out of a PSL (and getting a deposit back) if a buyer saw something in the agreement he would not sign for. Doesn't the link to the PSL Agreement outlline all the terms up front of the contract...in other words, what they send you to sign will be that Agreement with a dotted line ?? So you already know the terms and can read them upfront.
you have the option. parking passes are all optional. psl parking ($35) is different than general admission parking ($20) plus there is the jets subway
from what he told me they are still rewording it. changing on the fly. this is why i asked if something is in this FINAL PSL agreement that i dont like i wnat my money back and he said yes.
OK 17a..that makes sense then. In that case, I would absolutely scour that final agreement to see what has changed (if anything) from the published document. PS: Ari Gold and the boys return July 12th.
