Yes there was no good way but may be the complaints would have been less when the STH knew that the hefty per seat hike wud not include a huge PSL payment also
Well U R making the allegation I sure on the WFAN web site there must be a way to email Carton & Beningo. Also I am sure Cimini has a email address as does the new guy at Newsday
There isn't much to submit as proof, all I can repeat is what the JETS told him. Only the JETS could tell if the seats are being held while people with better seniority are not being given access to those seats. That being said, I dont want to screw over my 1977 friend. He would never allow me to reveal his identity. What I will do is post to this board what happens when the 2001 people get the call. If they get access to those seats you all will know about it !
Sounds like a fair plan to me. If what U posted really occurs & 227 who is a 85er gets shut out I would think he may be the caller to the media
Just a question, but can't you see a hefty boost in prices in a year or two anyway? Once they have the PSL holders "locked in"?
I think the PSL value will rise & fall on the success of the NYJs. If they produce a couple more stinker years then naturally the PSL value will decrease. If they produce real SB competing years then the PSL value will rise. Now if we go on to win the next 5 SBs in the row then they will soar & Woody can do whatever he wants whenever he wants to do it. Yes to your question once U purchase the PSL Woody has U by the short ones especially if the team continues to remain a losing team since unless U R willing to sustain a loss on ur purchase of the PSL U are totally within his clutches. IMHO Kraft system for the STHs would have been a better way to go since if U are transferred to another state or just want out just do not renew. Woody it appears want to make it all back as fast as possible so he implemented the plan now in effect that will have an overall greater effect on the STHs then Kraft was since in his case it was just ante up more money
i didnt ever see anyone respond to the post i put up from the carolina panthers board. one of the things they had in there contract was that the team could not raise ticket prices more than 4% in any given year. has anyone seen anything in the jets layout about that or could ask about that being in the contract? that would be very interesting to know. the other thing was that if they decided to NOT purchase playoff game tickets they lose their seats and psl money. talk about a kick in the balls on that one. but its another thing you guys might want to bring up. to be honest i would want to see the actual contract that you are getting yourself into before sending them shit. they can essentially put anything into the contract and once its done its binding.
I did not purchase a PSL so I do not have a copy of the PSL contract. However in all the literature I have seen & all that has been posted I have not seen any mention of what U post is the Panther policy. 17A however did purchase a PSL so he is in the best position to reply to what U posted
here is the post i was referring to. if you click the link its a cowboys fan asking some questions on the panthers board. it was interesting to see the things that they knew and how they felt about them. i was trying to see if i could find any information about how the cowpokes were doing selling their psls and ran across this thread. thanks champ, i am hoping that one of the guys has some info. and if not hopefully some of the guys who are going to be getting a call might have some things to think about asking them when they do call.
My account has 2001 seniority and they told me I can expect to hear from them in June. They can expect not to get very far with me.
I'm glad for you 17a and your kids, I really am. I'm sad that I have to give up my seats because this economy has driven my monetary standards into the toilet and my daughter and I will only get to see a game if I buy tickets from someone else. I'm sorry that people in the uppers may lose their seats because the JETS thought it might be a nice idea to give the upper seats a break not realizing what animosity they were breeding. My point is this. Those of you who have and can afford your seats - Congrats, and many of us envy you. But for those of us who are getting screwed by this stadium there is nothing you can say that is going to make us feel better about our situation. Try to be understanding of how hurt we are. I don't condone some of the nastiness that I'm reading, but I understand it. Something we love is being taken from us and we have no recourse to keep it from happening except to mortgage our futures for something that at the current time has zero value. I'm going to save up and buy a more comfortable set of chairs, a big HDTV, and a grill. And I'll have my JETS fan friends and their kids over and we'll tailgate in my yard and do the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets chant in my living room. (and then I'll set up a vehicular obstacle course so it takes my friends an hour to get away from my house- It'll be just like the stadium) We have to face the hard facts JETS fans: If you aren't a rich guy, being a season ticket holder is no longer a possibility.
ok i was informed you will not lose your PSL if you decide to not buy playoff tix.i still have not received a contract on my PSL either 3 weeks after dropping $1200 for a down payment.so i called my agent and her assured me i would only lose my PSL if i am kicked out of the stadium or for non payment. and that i should be getting a contract within the next 2 weeks.i also stated that what if i dont like the fine print, and decide to not purchase a PSL,will i lose my down payment? he told me no. so again i am happy i have my seats and to let you guys know i most likely am not attending all 10 games and will be selling off some of my tix. i have contacted 2 posters already about purchasing some of my seats.
It pisses me off to know end what's happening to my jet brothers and I am worried what the place will be like because all the fans will be upstairs and so far awayay no one will here us and downstairs will not be full or loud. That was great, act like the Meadowlands, make traffic for your friends!!!
i am still excited about the stadium and what kind of view i will have since having a sideline view since childhood
ok i got some news for you all or those who care. my brother in law called the ticket office today he owns the tickets i participate in. he spoke with a rep who told him his seniority could be a problem as alot more lower lever and mezzanine ticket holders are opting for the upper deck. he also said the most senior ticket holders held a very large percentage of the lower level and mezzanine seats. the rep said the nyjets were surprised at how many season ticket holder in the lowers gave up the lowers not anticipated at all. so in a sense we are done and its over. ive already started viewing seats and games on stubhub.reality is slowly settling in its over. i told my brother in law the jets quit on us we didnt quit on them. they dealt us a hand we couldnt deal with. they basically bent us over and said thanks for nothing guys. all 16 years you supported this franchise have just been flushed down the toilet thrown out to the curb. we dont need you anymore and we sold your seats to someone else. sad day for me as a lifelong jets fan whos dad (deceased)first took him to see them play in baltimore against the colts and then at shea stadium . thanks dad i will chreish those memories forever...............
sorry to hear that bro. but i think you should score tix to a couple of games a year. i know i cnat make all 10 games. hell i make 6 out 8 reg season games now.who knows come 2010.
scoring tickets wont be a problem no worries here. the price may be a little steep but its all relevant in the real world. it was a blast while it lasted.
There was just a certain SOMETHING about saying "I'm a Season Ticket Holder" - like you were a serious fan. I hate that they are taking that away from us. I'm also surprised at the JETS' being surprised that people are opting to give up their lower level seats. Anyone with even a base knowledge of business and marketing knows the 4 Ps. (Price, Product, Place, and Promotion) So they should not be surprised how hard it is to sell us on PSLs. The JETS have a terrible product - no one wants the pre-season games. Tickets are easy to come by either online or in the parking lot. And we're not a good team. The product doesn't get any better because you in the lower levels. No one NEEDS all these amenities and bars and club seats. I'd be happy with bleachers. The PRICE already sucks. Games are too expensive. So not only do you want to charge a hefty PSL cost the base ticket prices are going too high. You can maintain your monetary status quo by moving up. Sure it's not as great as being lower BUT your wife won't complain about the cost. PLACE - The fans desires didn't go into the stadium. If I heard right on the message boards - we wanted retractable roof, with plenty of tailgate opportunity, and we can argue about building in Manhattan... PROMOTION - There are no incentives to having a PSL. Better parking? They'll raise the price. They can find any reason they really want to, to terminate your rights. (I got thrown out for a season because I was in an altercation where I was assaulted and I defended myself - they could take a way my PSL for that) There is no benefit to stay in the lower level when there are so many reasons to move into the uppers. This is just business stupidity at it's finest.
