I watched season 1 and I liked it but a few of the storylines went nowhere. I started losing interest towards the end of the season but continued watching. I'll probably watch the first episode or two and decide whether or not to keep watching.
In the books, Lafayette Reynolds' dead body is found in the back of Detective Bellfleur's car. I hope Alan Ball changes it up and doesn't kill Lafayette off... Nelsan Ellis/Lafayette has already become one of the best characters in HBO original series history.
Myself and the girlfriend are very excited for later. She hated the show after the first two episodes of the first season. But grew to love it. Edit. It would be nice to not hear about what happened in the books (or leaked episodes). Seeing that i have not read the books and never look for spoilers about shows i watch. Just saying.
ive only caught the last few minutes or first few minutes of the show at times. seems like a vampire soap opera in a hillbilly town with someone talented and cute enough to keep the show affloat. thats just me though ive never watched full episodes. but my first impression would be the reason why.
I thought weeds was good at first, but the show didn't seem to be going anywhere and I really didn't give a shit about any of the characters so I quit watching after season 2. Is it still any good? And what's the deal with True Blood? Aside from the vampires it looks kinda lame.. but I have HBO so I recorded yesterday's episode. Those who've seen it, should I rent season 1 before I watch season 2 premier or just dive right in?
Watching season one would be smart, because season two kicked off right where season one ended. You can probably find all of the season one episodes online for free, instead of paying money to rent them... I don't see why starting to watch it right now would be a problem, but the first season would clear up a lot of stuff that you probably wouldn't understand. The vampires make the show a lot better, but there's still a lot of good "human" characters that are hilarious. In the first season, the town has to deal with a serial killer, which made for a pretty good story. Season 2 looks like it will have a few completely different storylines than the first season...
