Was his running game banged up. Nope. Now you can make a case for Jets oline being bad but when you look closer. They had the same Left tackle as last year. While A Cllarke was horrible at LG. Alan faneca was equally bad in pass protection 7.5 sacks last year. A Clement was a turnstile in pass protection and D Woody was equally as bad. no doubt they got better run blocking but thats not pass blocking(pertaining to Clemens) You were saying .

Well, according to you, the Jets WRs - even with Coles - suck; which means that Clemens had shitty WRs, a horrible OL, no running game, and as we now know, an inept coach in Mangini. I don't see how that made his situation any better than Russell's.

Dwight Lowery , Jets weren't going into saeason with the garbage they had at QB, If you have Calvin Pace and B Thomas as your Olbs, yhou don't have a pass rush. Jets had no chance for a top five defense.

Jets might possible have the worse offense in all of football next season and despite the hype with rex ryan, there defense isn't that impressive, or they did enough to address there shortcommings. Last point Jet have been a product of their schedule. When they have had a cupcake schedule, they done quite well. Well when the schedule was hard they reverted back to a very bad team. Bad news is this year schedule not easy. Here is some more predictions. Last year Jet Oline had trouble in pass protection against Bad teams. Just watch what happens when the quality of opponet goes up. A young inexperience Qb and watch how mnany sacks their oline gives up. Once and for all this will destroy the Dbustshaw Ferguson myth. (only Jet fans think this guy been decent)
You do realize that we face exactly the same number of teams with a top 10 pass rush this year as last, right? Last year: Tennessee, Miami, Seattle This year: Tennessee, Miami, Carolina As far as teams simply rated in the top HALF of the league in sacks (really, the top 19 thanks to a 4 way tie): Last year: 8 teams This year: 7 teams. I fail to see how the "quality" of pass rush faced increases so dramatically this year. Seems to me it's rather stagnant.
Again your trying to base your opinion off of last year stats. The reason why Dolphins were so good rushing the passer because like theJets there schedule was soft(inferior Olines) Dolphins and Joey porter in particular won't have anywhere close to the year he had last year.(better teams equal better olines) It's like the Jets were horrible blocking for the pass, but if you look at just stats without watching the game, you would say there line wasn't that bad. Well thats not the truth. Raiders could have had 10 sacks easy, against Jets last year, if that qb was anyone beside brett Favre. With inexperience QB who holds the ball just a little longer. Even you can figure out the rest. You doubted my analysis last year and when im right again just remember who broke it down for you.
