Arizona-Florida playing a doubleheader today to make up for Monday. They were in the 4th when they decided to postpone the game. Hurt Arizona because it cost Haren a start. He threw three innings for nothing and now he can't pitch for a few days. The way they're playing, they need as many starts out of Haren as possible.
Eric Byrnes was a terrible signing for Arizona. They had much bigger holes than outfield and he's been lousy since they paid him. He's making 11 and two thirds million this season and he's not even starting now. They brought up a minor leaguer named Parra instead.

Maybe so, but I refuse to be blamed for his departure. He couldn't handle things, so he took his ball and went home, as they say. There are several reasons for him leaving, but the most prominent one was that he could not handle being suspended. Whatever. I didn't really want to comment on the junc mess, because there's nothing really there. If he comes back, fine. If he doesn't, I don't think the board will overly suffer.
