Herzlich would have been arguably the best linebacker in the country in 2010. I love that he's being optimistic about playing again, but Ewing's Sarcoma is a very bad form of cancer. I just don't know if he'll be able to come back after treatment. This awful disease is probably going to end his promising career.
The weird thing about this is I was making my top 25 big board for 2010 this morning and Herzlich was the player I stopped on...#14 on my list.

With this kind of cancer - one that goes after the nerves and muscles - I don't know if Herzlich will ever play football again...that's why this story is so awful. The guy's going to lose a ton of weight from chemotherapy.
