Chad was a professional straight across the board as well that does not mean he is good enough to win. Sanchez is not a notch above Ryan and him being as good as Flacco remains to be seen. From our standpoint is starts with us being able to beat the Pats. After that the other teams should not be a problem. They are ranked as favorites to win the Sb again for a reason.
Carson Palmer is a franchise Qb who was worthy of his pick who would have beaten out BOOTY if he was on the bench behind him. We traded up for a Qb as if he were palmer who could not beat out BOOTY.
You're right...Palmer would've beaten JDB out...because he was older and more experienced in USC's pro-style scheme. Carroll made the right move starting the veteran Booty. We traded up for the best offensive player in 2009's draft. A draft that was full of mediocrity in the later rounds.
yes, because they have an great QB and a smart coach, but you seem afraid of what this kid is going to do in his rookie season. When Sanchez is in year 6, Brady might be gone. Imagine that? The dark ages will be over. These dark ages are worse than Marino days, because Marino couldn't win a ring. The kid is going to need 3 full seasons before he hits his stride, and with what the defense is projected to look like in those 3 years, this team might be a contender with an old Pats team to face. Which isn't as scary.

Pete Carroll's system is that the senior QB plays over the younger QB on the depth chart. This argument can't be made due to Carroll's team rule
how about the other 4 1st round gems. two pro bowlers, a pro bowl alternate, and a TE who had a better rookie season than recent pro bowlers. Pretty good 1st round if you ask me.
That was actually Steve Sarkisian's rule, but I know what you meant. In 2010, without Sarkisian on board, Pete Carroll has opted to start the younger, more athletic Aaron Corp over Mitch Mustain. We'll see how that works out.

Seriously. He reminds me of Mike Williams out of USC. He could make some ridiculous circus catches in college and was dominant, but in the NFL he just couldn't get open and flopped big time. Williams even had the advantage of playing in a pro-style offense at college. I really don't get the whole love-fest from Crabtree. I think he was probably worth a late 1st at best. People comparing him to Larry Fitzgerald and Calvin Johnson are way out of line.
He is not in their category. Not even remotely close. But for our immediate need I would have taken him.
You don't take a receiver that high for "immediate need". If he's not on the same level as Calvin Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald, then he's not worth it. You're saying he's not even "remotely close" to being as good as them. Why draft him then? Quarterbacks are much harder to find that receivers.
I could say the same thing about drafting up to take Sanchez instead of waiting until next year because he is not as good as the guys coming out as well. We needed the best available Wr and Crabtree was it.
