... Mine was only funny because you actually tried to tell all of us that you could throw a fastball 95 mph...

And even if I did "get my knees dirty" it would still be more action than you've ever seen...

Geezus, I can't follow this. I've been reading Raiderjeaux for nearly six years. I'm not alone, I know. There are a couple dozen of us here that had a PhD in Jeaux. Still, I gotta tell you, I just can't follow multiple Jeaux. That's too much crazy in rapid fire. I'm a traditionalist. Stick to the heights, weights, and forty times. Those I can digest.

LMao Tell me what Qb has a stronger arm than Russell. There isn't anyone in professional football. Do you even watch football??????? Stupid comment. Yea only thing true is no QB can throw on his back. The Raiders dopn't have to worry as the Jets don't have a pass rush. Calvin Pace and B Thomas are your pass rushers your in serious trouble. maybe Gholston will make a tackle outside of special teams.

Jeaux, stop it. He never said that Russell didn't have a strong arm. He said the opposite, in fact. But, he CORRECTLY pointed out that Jamarcus couldn't hit water falling out of a boat. You'll come to the light, eventually. NJR knows. He's silent on the point, but he knows.

The Texans were hot. Doesn't mean they had a good defense. PTS 24.6 (27th) YDS 336.6 (22nd)

So that makes them the 27th best defense. Good job.

Tampa Bay was playing for a playoff berth. But they had lost something like 3 out of their last 4, so they were slumping. its easier to beat a slumping team.

    [stats from nfl.com]

God, whenever you post combine numbers i wanna choke somebody.

If the raiders CBs are so ridiculously awesome, why did you guys have the 24th best defense last year?

How can you tell if his route running improved a lot from last year? were you on the field, watching him with an unbiased eye? Or do you get this from biased sports writers grasping for some positive material?

And yet every single team passed on drafting him...7 times.

2 games hardly constitutes "down the stretch".

What? What does that sentence mean? I'll try to decipher it...

" Don't you think BY seeing what a player could do in the Nfl and than making a judgement of how much he imporoved from the following year. "

Umm i guess you're trying to say judge him by how much he improved this year?

And I saw what he could do in the NFL when he only caught 15 passes in 16 games played.

" Is alot diffrent than make a judgement on a rookie with only three practices under his belt. Wouldn't you have to say its a little diffrent.
    "

I'm assuming he was a rookie last year? But he only got in 3 practices during the whole off season? I dont understand this question, try rephrasing it with correct grammar.

Triple teaming a TE? Never seen that.

And why is he the only weapon? What about Schillens, and Higgins, and McFadden, and Bush, and Fargas, and Russel? I guess you just admitted that your only weapon is a tight end.

TE 80 Miller, Zach ACT REC 56 YDS 778 AVG 13.9 TDS 1
TE 85 Gates, Antonio ACT REC 60 YDS 704 AVG 11.7 TDS 8

Hmmm 8 TDs versus 1 TD... looks like Gates has better numbers.

TE 80 Miller, Zach ACT REC 56 YDS 778 AVG 13.9 TDS 1
TE 88 Scheffler, Tony ACT REC 40 YDS 645 AVG 16.1 TDS 3

Higher AVG, more TDs, and the Broncos had a lot more weapons to distribute to at wideout.

    Boller
    Cutler
    Manning
    Palmer
    Russell

The Jets didn't have a pass rush last season... did you watch any jets games? how many times did you see them blitz?

If you happened to know who our new coach is, you would understand that this year's defense is going to look very, very, different..

NO he said Jamarcus Russell arm is not the strongest arm in football. There was others. What planet is he talking about becauise its not Earth. . Again jamarcus Throwing well over sixty percent his last eight games proves he has accuracy.

I think I might modify this and put it in as one of my signature quotes... .

The greatness of the Raiders lies in its future... When Al Davis dies...

Hmm. I'm more interested in your signature, Raiderjoe. I mean, does that really say what I THINK it says?

EDIT: Haha, Fr0zensm0ke, you beat me...I didn't take the time to read past him. And he's big AL, not little Al, no less.

Sorry to inform you but Russell arm is better than all those Qbs arm and its not even close. Manning has a above average arm. So even putting him in this topic shows how little you know.

Again when you have to blitz to get a pass rush. you don't have a pass rush. Teams pick up that blitz what do you thinks going to happen to 29 ranked pass defense.

Bart Scott and Leonhard were nice players when they had Ravens talent on defense around them. Neither player going to make much of diffrence with Jets. Neither worth the money Jets are paying them.

Nope. Pointless debate pal. I had my duel with Jeaux, even when you paste the numbers right on his fucking monitor he will refuse to admit he was ever wrong about anything. He will probably quote this and say 'show me where I was ever wrong' then I or someone else will provide multiple links pointing out evidence of him being wrong, and he will respond with "didn't fit Raiders system" or "Raiders showed improvement over final stretch" or "RBs were hurt" or "Russell still developing" or "P Manning threw more INTs his rookie year" or "Al Davis has the rings to prove it" or "Chaz Schilens and DHB best WR tandem in NFL" or "Mario Henderson best LT in NFL, R Gallery robbed of pro-bowl" yada yada yada

Leonard got scrub money for a starting safety. 3 years 5.8 million... whooo! big contract! We did overpay for Scott talent wise, but he brings two things to the Jets that many other LB's wouldn't bring. Knowledge of Rex Ryan's terminology, and intensity.

Also... Name me a team that gets CONSISTENT pressure rushing 3 downed linemen.... anything else in a 3-4 is a blitz... So calling Gholston and Pace our pass rushers leaves them out if you don't call it blitzing...

First you clearly don't know what your talking about not going to waste my time explaining the rest again. Just going to show these points to prove how little you know about football.

Same reason Jets had twenty nine pass defense. Jets couldn't stop anyone passing game teams elected not to even try running the football. Raiders were one of the worst teams defending against the run. So tell me Vince Lombardi how is that indictment of raiders Cbs. If you know your football raiders probably start the best Cb duo in all of football.

Yea this is another dumb thing. How many people regret passing on tom Brady six times and M colston seven times. LMao Your not serious.

Why was Zach miller raiders only weapon. Lets see Mcfadden was injured since week two and the other two WR(Schilens and Higgins only got a chance real late) Go look at how many of the Raiders Wr ended up on IR last year. Let me ask you a question you can even answer. Now which is going to be easier to get a TD. A Player who everyone knows is getting the ball or a team with alot of diffrent options.

Zach miller numbers were better than both no matter how you try and spin it. Zach Miller had way more + 20 yards plays 16 than any Te in football. Again now that Raiders don't need him to stay in to block and they have other options . His numbers are only going to skyrocket. Read it 1000 times till it sinks in

YEa and hamstring injury could come back at any time if you don't strecth out properly. LMao

Again Schilens was a seventh round pick who wasn't expected to be counted on in 2008. Only after Raiders lost pretty much their whole Wr corp to injury. Did he get a shot later in the year.

Well what can I tell you than you shouldn't make a comment when you have no idea what your talking about. Kep your mouth shut and people might think you know more than you actually know.

Why Easy. You want to get the safeties out of the box(to run the football) and be able to throw to part of the field you want to exploit(Middle with Zach miller and Mcfadden coming out of backfield) You can only do that by stretching out a defense with a speed threat. Speed Kills and you almost have to give your Cb safety help over the top.

Again show me where I put a number on where there passing offense going to be. What its going to do is make it easier for raiders to run the ball consistantly well(something they want to do) and going to open up chances for them to make alot of big plays down the field. Raiders are going to score alot more points next year.

You must have been busy that Sunday getting your knees dirty. The Raiders won last year and everyone knows that. Jets always lose when they come to Oakland.

Quit before i really embarrass you. OR get a football 101 book and try and read up on this game.

Stop everytime you post you show just how little you know about football. you get exposed a little bit more. In a 3-4 defense the pressure comes from the outside Lbs. That is B Thomas, Calvin Pace and Vernon Gholston. None of those players keep up a offensive coodinator at night.

You didn't even respond to what he was saying... He was saying that YOU stated that the raiders were going to lose based on the syntax of your sentence. Your poor sentence structure is what he was pointing out, not last year's football game.

Secondly, you might also want to purchase a football 101 book, however you will probably need to purchase "Hooked on Phonics" first, so that you you can actually read football book...

Uh, whether or not the OLB's are called pass rushers or not, it is still called a blitz when the the non-downed players rush the passer...

Second of all... Gholston is likely to emerge under Rex Ryan... Pace is very fast for his size.. .and will create a lot more problems once the offense has to worry about pressure from both sides...

Gholston likely to emerge under Rex Ryan. LMAO Says who???????? Do you know who Marvin Lewis was. He was a way better DC than Rex ryan ever was. Bengal fans are still waiting for Lewis to get that defense respectable. Before you start to get Rex Ryan bust ready for canton, lets see what he can do when Ozzie Newsome not getting him his groceries. What does it tell you that Ravens passed him over for their headcoach job if he was this genius. C Pace/ B Thomas and V Gholston your counting to provide a pass rush. YOUR IN SERIOUS TROUBLE. OH i forgot REx Ryan speciality is the blitz. Keep it up.

BTW Your defensive genius can't even run a drill right. Who ever has two diffrent drills running at the same time. See Incident where two Jets collided players at full speed, because he made a mistake high school coaches don't maKE. YEa Gholston going to emereg under ryan. He gets one tackle outside of special teams he emerged.
