Yeah, it's not really "news" but it is the off-season after all... (Source) OL: Alan Faneca (New York Jets) No, that's not Mickey Rourke. That's the Jets' most bad-ass offensive lineman, Alan Faneca. His game slipped a bit last year, but the reasoning could range from supporting line talent, to Brett Favre, to offensive philosophy. Regardless, Faneca has been and should continue to be one of the toughest, most dominating offensive linemen in the game. He's been to multiple Pro Bowls, has won a Super Bowl, and even called out his then-rookie quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger. Faneca can grow a mean beard, and also possesses a mean streak K: Jay Feely (New York Jets) For the longest time, he was the kid with the big leg, but no accuracy. Then it was "the kicker with huge arms". But that's not all Feely was. No, besides being the last line of defense on special teams, he has slowly but surely turned into a reliable, and even clutch kicker. Don't think so? Write down his game-winner against the Patriots in overtime last season. Muscles, a leg, and ice in his veins? Nice.
The writer sounds like he has a mancrush on Feely. Some definite homo going on in this article. "Muscles" LMAO. Also I've seen quite a few kickers who are more jacked and a lot tougher than Feely. Phil Dawson was an O Lineman on a Texas state champion team in HS. He's a tough SOB. The Steelers kicker, Jeff Reed, would pummel Feely. I can't believe I'm commenting on kickers' toughness. But Badass to me means "guys you don't want to fuck with".
Since when did ripped = badass? You walk around Chelsea in nyc and see tons of "ripped" guys. The majority of them are far from badass and I would laugh in their faces. (actually I've done it many times before I wouldn't do that to some tough shitkicker from TX or OK or a lot of hardscrabble areas across the country. I'm not going to go any further because I don't want to sound too un-PC and offend anyone which isn't my intention at all. It's just funny how some people perceive tough or badass in our society in the 21st century.
I was making a comment that our kicker is ripped. Geez, it's funny how some people get all up in arms over the dumbest stuff. And for the record, I highly doubt you've ever laughed right in someone's face.
For the record I've done more than laugh in a guy's face. Yet those are multiple stories for another time and forum. You made a statement so I just had to clarify. Like I said didn't mean to offend you or anyone of any orientation. Just my honest opinion and experience.
