If you are going to talk about the Jets, at least get your facts straight. At this point Lowery is battling it out for the 4th CB position and most likely a back up safety position. Lowery is not a problem anyway and neither was the secondary last year, the problem with the pass D was the lack of pressure specifically because we dropped 8 guys in coverage last year for most pass plays. Getting back to the Raiders woes, you can blow off Russells struggles as one practice all you want but when your 3rd year QB is still struggling with the same stuff he has been struggling with since day one, you better start worrying. As for DHB, who cares, we all know including you that he will be a bust and was clearly the worst pick of the entire draft.
Nope. All its doing is exposing Your Number 1 draft choice to best CB in football. To teach him that its going to take alot of hard work for you to be successful on the professional level. Every other Cb DHB faces will be a downgrade to Asomughya. To be the best you have to beat the best. case in point. Asomugha credits randy Moss as having biggest impact on his development.
I just about to post that picture...good going green jeaux give us another 4-12 season to add to the picture..then it becomes a palindrome pattern..ala to ND for coming up with that one in another thread
Looks like someone's hammy is acting up already. A preview of the regular season perhaps?: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/05/09/SPPV17HTHM.DTL
It doesn't matter that Russell's inaccuracy gets exponentially worst the farther he has to throw it. It also doesn't matter that DHB has questionable hands at best. C'mon people. Get with the program here. All DHB has to do is sprint down-field for the Raiders to go 12-4, so you all fail.
You do make a good point there, Joe. Going up against the top corner in the league every practice will make Sundays feel like vacations for DHB. If he finds a way to beat Nnamdi consistently, he'll find a way to beat a lot of other corners. Then again, it can't be the best confidence booster for a young guy with a lot to learn to get shut down in practice day after day.
Joe, don't you find it a bit hypocritical that you first say the negative news in camp is nothing to pay attention to; but then you come back and try to support DHB by... posting positive news from...camp?
don't try to rationalize the "irrational".......you'll end up drooling all over yourself for nothing.
I'm not going to defend the DHB pick but these practices don't mean much which is why no one should get excited over the three drops or the couple nice passes he caught. With that said downplaying the Jets secondary is nonsense. There were a bunch of times the Jets were involved in a high scoring game in which the other team was throwing constantly inflating the stats. With the addition of Sheppard and Donald Strickland who will be a solid nickel type back as well as Leonard and Rhodes and an improved pass rush I think the Jets secondary is going to put up very good numbers this year.
LOL at neglecting Revis, definitely one of the top 5 CB's in football. Secondly, why did the Jets pass defense suck last year? No pass rush... and yes, having Ty law or Dwight Lowery as a second corner isn't optimal, but NOW they have 2 pro bowl corners playing every down, and Lowery is good enough to be a nickelback.
Can we read into 3 seasons??? Also, are you saying Jam Russell will play better with a passrush in his face? Enlighten me. LOL
Look up raiderjeaux's hall of fame thread, you will not be disappointed. Pages and Pages of blatantly wrong Predictions, delusional ramblings, Priceless quotes, and utter nonsense.
