I don't agree, Lenord Nimoy is awesome! I am not a trekkie per say but I watched the show (on repeats as a kid) and have seen every movie. Nimoy was just being his spock. They did a great job with this movie and tied alot of plot lines (mostly character backgorunds) together rather well. The actors playing Kirk and spock were great and I think have lauched this franchise for a 3rd time. Spoiler alert: Personally, I love that Kirk kept getting his ass kicked. I was a little sick of him always winning fights when he should have lost. Also, Spock getting romantically involved with Uhura was a cool play by them, I had always thought she got it on with Kirk.
I still have to see this movie. I didn't get around to it last weekend because I was still working on my 12v outdoor lighting project. When I had to go under my old deck there was only 3" of clearance. I had to pick myself up and do 2" pushups to advance 3 or 4" at a time through pure mud on a humid day. It took me a half an hour to travel 20' and back. When I emerged from the deck, I stank of old mulch, was just filthy off the charts, but I got that darn wire routed properly. If PF4 was there I am sure she wouldn't be able to contain herself.
Hey! I said I love a man that knows his way around fix'in shit. I didn't say I like them stinky. Back on topic: I freaking can't wait to see this movie! I've watched all the Trek series and all the movies.
did anyone see Fringe recently? They bascialy revealed the plot of Star Trek just before the release....crazy crossover by abrams
I stopped watching that show before they went on break. It's painful to watch. The only good thing about that show is the father.
Saw this last night. AMAZING. Downloaded a cheap cam version, burned it. watching again. Fucking AMAZING.
Ya. It's great. I don't know how you can call it a feel good movie, with the entire premise being about a planet being destroyed, and 1 mans revenge is to destroy ANOTHER planet, but it's still fucking awesome.
Bought my PS3 as a blu-ray player with benefits. Finally got one of those... Good movie and man I hope the next one doesn't have: a) borg, b) that psycho romulan, c) much of that sidekick of Scotty's who looks like a turd. My 8 year old nephew loves him but he reminds me of that horrible fish-thing that ruined the latter day Star Wars attempt.
They are reportedly looking at people to play a young Khan, more specifically, the actor who plays Richard in LOST. I think his name is Nestor something
I've never watched anything Star Trek related, but I will probably start out with this movie since everyone I have spoke to thinks it's good.
I enjoyed the movie, but was I the only one thrown off by the destruction of vulcan? I mean, vulcan just doesn't get destroyed, i've seen it fully intact multiple times in star trek episodes.
