If you didn't love him already... http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-total-access/09000d5d8103933a/A-mother-s-love
very interesting story, gotta wonder that if now that Scott is a very rich man, that he is going to be moving his family out of that hell hole in detroit and to somewhere with a safer living enviroment.
Lets see how he plays with the pressure of being the man and with all that money. He still has to prove to me that he's a top LB and can be our Ray Lewis.
Its an amazing story how he first signed with ravens for $500 - sounds crazy. Sometimes it defy's logic, however many times people stay in their neighborhood even with money. Its their roots. He just purchased a chuck of land in the neighborhood and is developing it into a park. This probably means his family is sticking around in some way. But, you never know. I just checked, he has had some nice money since his first extension with the ravens. "three-year, $13.5 million contract during the offseason that included $6.5 million in bonus money." But he is the new 40 million dollar man, lets hope for the best.
We paid $48 million for a guy who was trained by women? Wow. The women don't even look that tough. I gotta go check Scott's Madden rating to see if the signing makes sense still.
Bart Scott may be the best LB the Jets have had in a long, long, long time if he stays healthy... I hope Harris has something to say about that!!!
Damn, thats a touching story and as a person, I can relate to that story. I grew up without a father but atleast I had one guy in my life and that was my older bro but it was my mother who was my everything (And still is) Just like Soctt's mother, my mom had me in sports and made sure I was doing good in school since about the age of 6 or 7 and I also have two older sisters who showed me nothing but tough love growing up. My sister stacy had 7 kids and now she's left raising em on her own but you know what? My nephews and nieces have the best mother they could ever dream of having and each and every one of those kids has a special type of bond with eachother. Damn, what a story that was. Cant wait to see this man bring that tough love to this Jets Defense here in 09. I understand why people walk around with guns, maybe some people around here dont, but I do, and in the slum tha Bart Scott grew up in...As a scared H.S kid walking to school everyday, I dont blame the man but it's sad...If he would have got arrested "Society" would label and consider the man a "Thug" and honestly, I'm just glad that I'm not that type of person who judges another man without walking a day in his shoes.
You have no idea about me, you have no idea about the things I've been through. You have no idea how many loved one's my family has lost over the years due to violence and you have no way of knowing how I protect myself. Wanna know a little something about the real man behing the screen name? http://www.myspace.com/stpetephillyphil Oh yeah, I'm also registered and carry a licence which is called a "gun permit"
