the trend is bad, but the future looks bright.

4 out of 5 1st round picks in the last 3 drafts have made immediate impact in their first year and have had even more success after it. That is on the level with the elite franchises. That is not mediocre by any stretch.

As for top 10 picks, yes, the Jets have seem to shit their pants and take the wrong person. Brick and Gholston were BPAs. Brick was a pro bowl alternate last year, while Gholston needs to get tough, and do it now. Its not a physical problem - its all in his head. Trust me.

The last time the Jets picked a QB in the top 5, he got us to a SB and won it, and guaranteed the win before hand... that's a nice trend to follow.

It's a shame one cannot even venture into a Jets forum thread without being attacked for no good reason.
    What's the fuckin' point anymore?
I might be better off taking the nyjunc route and going to another message board.

The Hobbes comment pissed me off more because the dude has had a hard-on for me ever since the Justin Miller pass interference call from the Colts-Jets 2006 game. He recently completely misinterpreted two of my posts and had shit to say about me. I would then point out how he had misinterpreted the posts and he never responded back.

He definitely baited me with that post above and JohnnyJohnson and nyjunc just got banned for this sort of thing. Therefore, Hobbes and myself must get banned for tonight's actions.

The wikipedia thing itself doesn't bother me except for the fact that it was a stupid joke, pointless, moronic, and I don't have the slightest idea why someone did that and found any humor in it.

Your an ignorant jackass. The wikipedia records the IP addresses of who makes changes. Its my Verizon IP address of 96.238.210.196 that undid the Cakes Fellates comment and the wikipedia records prove that. The comment was put in by IP address 199.67.131.215, which is owned by Salomon Brothers. Someone from the East Coast did this from work, I live in L.A.. If you don't think 96.238.210.196 is my IP address than just ask TGG management, they can tell you.

Your stupid and a jerk, great combo.

That might all be valid. I'm not hip to all that IP address stuff. All I know is that you brought up the "Cakes Fellates" thing and got this whole mess started. I did not write that it was definitely you who did it. Rather, I wrote that signs would point to you. Perhaps someone at "TGG management" can back up your claim.

I have noted the fact that you called me "stupid" and "a jerk." I don't recall writing that about you in this thread. I used the term "fan" and then called the "Cakes Fellates" joke a stupid and moronic one. That's quite different than calling the person who created it "stupid" or "a moron."

I don't blame Cakes for being skeptical at a time like this, but with the new info:

Cakes, think of those who work in Manhattan or live in Manhattan. Those are the culprits

One of the posters who most hates me is from Manhattan. I won't mention his name. Not yet, at least.

I didn't bring it up, the OP brought it up. You accused me without evidence. I won't ask you for an apology because I don't think you are intelligent enough to understand you owe me one.

I do not believe he was talking about "Cakes Fellates" because it was simply not up there at the time. I would have seen it. Read post 24. Then read post 37.

That's fine. Don't be surprised if you, along with me and Hobbes, receive a ban.

Let's try to get this thread back on topic.

McNeil, from 82-86, was a productive back, and had a nice long career as a Jet. I'm not sure he was worth a top 5 pick, but he was a shifty and elusive RB in his prime, who had good hands as well.

A few posters (DrewAlmighty, Exit 117, and devilonthetownhallroof) in particular dislike me very much and have written so on several occasions.

I'm sure there are others who do not like me, but don't make it very known. I had you pegged as being one of those people based on numerous incidents over the past few years. If what you wrote above is true, then I am mistaken and I'll apologize. Either way, I'd prefer not to have any discussions with you unless this blows (no pun intended) over at some point.

Freeman, Toon and Key were great picks all of them performed for us at all pro level and the value we got for Key after he performed for us on a team that almost got to the SB was off the charts.

Freeman almost carried our team to the SB in the strike season. We have had very few players put the team on his back like Freeman did in those playoffs and practically carry us to the SB.

Toon was as good as just about every WR in the NFL HOF. They guy got his head bashed in. Shit happens. Personally I think Al Toon was one of the top 5 greatest talents to wear the uniform. To insinuate that he was a bad pick in the top 10 kind of bums me out.
