I dont see why people dont understand that while Boldin is a GREAT reciever, he does not fit with what we NEED. We need a tall deep threat that can stretch the field to open up the running lanes because thats what we want to do. We already have a possesion reciever in Cotchery. (Im not saying cotchery is as good as Boldin but they have the same style of play)

I am so glad to see less than 1 of every 20 voters think we are okay at WR.

I think Boldin would be the best WR, but Edwards would give the deep threat.

So I say Boldin is the guy to get and let Clowney get the deep balls.

Braylon Edwards sucks harder and with more enthusiasm than Clay Aiken.

I chose Anquon. I feel he has the best all around game, on and off the field. That being said, the SOJ will find a way to make the wrong choice here.

Listen be a smart shopper. you get so much with Plexico and you pay nothing for it. If you don't think that is reason enough you are out of your mind. It is like a dope ass tall number one wide receiver for free. That is by far the best deal

    Boldin...Hands down like 6:30.

He may be like Cotch but he is fearless, has excellent hands, and I think he would fit best with Rex's in your face style.

It all depends on the price to me, but I would prefer Plaxico if he can play this season

In all seriousness, this is may be why they still have him..rumors are this is what caused the Giants to back off.

Kurt Warner was on Sporting News Radio the other day & he said that he went to management to try to get them to keep Boldin. Warner said, "they have got to pay him."

Bloomberg is going to make sure that Plax does some time in the tank. Too bad, Plax blew a 35 mill contract.

It doesn't go over well in NFL locker rooms, there have been issues before supposedly.

Cotchery & Faneca would welcome addition of Plax

Can't say that I would object much either.

Jets' Cotchery would welcome addition of Burress
    BY BOB GLAUBER

    bob.glauber@newsday.com

The Jets haven't ruled out the notion of signing former Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress if he resolves his legal issues in connection with a self-shooting last Nov. 26.

"I would welcome him," Jets wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery said. "I know a lot of guys would welcome him because they know what kind of player he is. He's a good guy. I enjoy watching him play.''

Cotchery is heartened that the Jets would consider signing Burress, who was released by the Giants last month after failing to reach a plea agreement on felony weapons possession charges.

"The league is coming down on guys, even if you [plea bargain] or anything like that,'' he said.

"But I would monitor that situation. He's a great player. That was the big difference in the Giants last year. When they needed a big catch, someone to make plays, he wasn't there. The year before, he made plays and carried the team to the Super Bowl. He's a guy you have to watch out for.''

Would Burress have any trouble fitting into the Jets' locker room, given his troubled past?

"Not at all,'' Cotchery said. "Not at all.''

Jets guard Alan Faneca, who played with Burress on the Steelers, also said Burress would be welcomed.

"I have good memories of Plax,'' Faneca said. "You know who he is and what he's about and what he puts together on the field.''

  18. Edwards still has alot of upside to his game and has a chance to be special. Burress is on the down side and Boldin wants too much money per year and is injury prone.

If available, Burress will come on the cheap and could be a bridge for another year or two before we're lucky enough to land that true "#1 Receiver," someone who we'd plan on keeping around for many seasons to come.

I understand your point about Burress, and agree. But why is Edwards not a potential #1 on this team?
