beating the wildcat: when the QB lines up wide, HIT HIM AS HARD AS YOU CAN.

    Worked for Tennessee against us

Wildcat will be shit this year, Almsot every team knows how to defend it and once opponents see Pat White come in for the Shitfins they know whats coming. No suprise this year.

Supposedly the coaching staff down here is very happy with Pat White as a QB. Already from training camp they're saying he's smart and talented. That he's already improving from one day to the next. When he comes in it easily could be a normal passing play. Or he could see an opening and slash his way forward. He looks to be more than just a Wildcat QB.

Hey if everyone thinks Miami will be a joke this year I'm happy to let them. Everyone considered the team a laughingstock at the beginning of last season and they went 11-5. This year's team is more talented. I think we'll do just fine and that the AFC East is going to be the toughest division in the league.

Because Favre got in a 3-point stance like a dummy and then fell asleep. You have to pay attention if you're on the football field.

I agree that should be done, but that hardly beats the wildcat.

I don't think anyone on this thread said the Phins are gonna be bad... but I doubt that they'll make much hay with the "wildcat"

They've improved the talent level, so you'd think they'll rely less on gimmickry

We used it with Ray Lucas a little bit in 1997. Even though he was a QB which makes me think that this is what they have planned for White.

That's what i thought also they'd rely less on gimmicks like the wildcat. Then they draft Pat White. What that says to me is that they see something they can exploit. That they think that sort of spread offense could work really well with the right team. I think the dolphins are going to use it and dare teams to stop them. It's like the 34 or the west coast offense. It's only a gimmick til everyone starts doing it.

Yeah you got me there. But a lot of the local media that was skeptical about the Pat White signing attended the rookie minicamp and came away impressed. Hes getting a lot of hype down here. We'll see what preseason and the regular season bring.
