I'm right there with ya. Sanchez will hopefully be something really great for us, but I can't wait to see Greene plow over some AFC East linebackers. This dude is going to bust some heads, I just know it.

either Gore or a poor mans Mike Turner... If he has that second gear like Turner we are in for a treat as fans.

Plus he's from Sicklerville, so he's one tough SOB.. i have a friend from down that part of Jersey. Those people aren't very sunshiney.

I don't really see the open-field speed that Turner possesses. Greene seems like he has a decent second gear, but he won't outrun most NFL defensive backs.

There's been no Shawon Greene to draft yet. Give it time.

This guy simply hits the whole, this should be a video on his offensive line. I'm a fan, but I didn't see much that just stood out

Would you have felt better if he ran up the backs of his OL instead of hitting the hole they opened for him? Maybe his team had a good OL, just like the Jets do when it comes to run blocking. He was MVP of the Big 10, ran for over 1800 yards and 20 TDs last year and won the Doak Walker award for being the best RB in the country. What more would you have liked to see there?

    Tenn-JetsFanatic,

Iowa utilizes a zone-blocking scheme on the OL... much like the Broncos, Ravens, and some others. YES, Iowa had a very good OL last year (and even better this year), BUT being a RB in a zone-blocking scheme isn't easy. The hole isn't completely predefined, and fluctuates. A RB has to have great ground-level vision and be able to hit the hole VERY quickly when it appears. Greene does that as well as any RB I've ever seen.

As far as your comment of not seeing much that stood out... that is quite perplexing, I must say. Half of Shonn's yardage came AFTER contact. Maybe you missed the dozen of guys he literally flattened, or ran around with great foot moves, or used a spin move (unusual for a 230 lb guy)? Or the open field speed he showed later in the year?

He obviously showed some people something, as he was voted the best RB in the entire NCAA last year. I'm just sayin. ;-)

Are you joking? Smart backs hit the hole, but if you didn't see his yardage gained past the LOS, then maybe your computer chair was facing the wrong direction after you clicked 'Play'.

He reminds me of Frank Gore and Micheal Turner. Stephen Jackson too.

He's a lean version of Jerome Bettis.
