So, any chance Perez will agree to be sent down to the minors? Because if doesn't, he can't be sent down. They're certainly not going to release him.

How is it not in his best interest though? There's obviously something wrong and it needs to be addressed if he ever wants to get another contract from anyone else again. It's probably not going to fix itself by throwing him out there every 5th day and giving up 1 run+ an inning. While there's no debating the fact that he's a wack-job head case I've never gotten the egomaniac vibe from him. I guess he could find some crazy reason not to want to be sent down though.

He's made some bad decisions but I didn't blame him for that one. Once they stupidly PR for Castro he really had no choice but to send him there. I was more referring to the Wright SB just now taking the bat out of Murphy's hands with Santos on deck.
