I am usually involved in discussions w/ many posters at once. Sometimes I confuse what each is saying b/c they all seem to lump together. Maybe you didn't hate him or want him gone but alot did and many do not appreciate what he did for us. Is he an all-time great? Of course not but he was a very good starting QB for us during the best period in Jets history. From 1997-2006 we had 5 playoff apps and just 2 losing seasons. The 2 losing season came when Chad was hurt and he was the QB for 3 of the 5 playoff apps. We didn't win the SB but you can't get to a SB w/o first getting to postseason. I appreciate that. I don't want a statue built but I will always express my appreciation and when people knock him I will continue to bring upt he facts of what he and we did while he was here.

Most of them weren't real Packer fans they just loved favre and followed him for some reason. There were a few good posters from that bunch but most of them were as delusional as could be.
How is 3 postseason in 5 years(basically 3 for 3 since he wasn't healthy the other 2 years) mediocrity?

As usual you cannot understand simple points. Answer me how 3 postseasons in 5 years(3 in 3 in healthy years) is medicority? -only Jets QB to start in 3 different postseasons -one of 2 Jets QBs w/ a road playoff win -tied for all time lead in playoff wins as playoff starter -led us to only our 2nd ever AFC East Title -From 1960-2001(42 seasons) this franchise made 9 postseason apps(21%) -From 2002-2006 w/ Chad we made 3 postseasons(60%) How is this mediocrity? You want to say it's not GREAT that is different but that is not medicority especially for a franchise w/ the small amount of success we have had.
OK he made it to playoffs 3 out of 5 times. He's SUPER GREAT. What you don't understand is, you'll never convince me that he's a very good QB, so why waste you time? Also, if you have to add disclaimers for every failure he's had, that stinks of something other than "very good" Bottom line: when you pressure him he folds. The rest of the world knows this, yet your lust for him will not allow you to see that SIMPLE POINT.
He's won 2 playoff games in 4 post season appearances. That's a .333 percentage. If the point were to make it to the playoffs he'd be an awesome QB. The point is to win in the playoffs though, and that's where he's awful. So really, he's useless.
I'm not trying to convince you of anything, you cannot convince people w/ agendas of anything. I point out facts when nonsense is spewed to help other posters who may buy into that BS.
