There is one thing I agree with Joe about. DHB fits the Raiders perfectly, he will fit in with the rest of their draft busts already on that team, no bigger(literally) then QB JaMarcus Russell.
So Joe what do u think of our future franchise QB in Mark Sanchez? And btw u said Oakland would and YOU said a Tackle would be drafted with the 7th pick, what happened?
Raiders have a smaller version of Maclin in Johnny lee higgins already. very similiar players. How is DHB sub 4.3 speed and Maclin 4.43 speed just as fast. (explain that) Maclin was properly the worsn route runner out of the three(crabtree, DHB, and Maclin)
Joe u passed up a potential #1 WR in Crabtree for Troy Williamson Part 2. And then u wonder why we think Al Davis has gone senile
Mark sanchez was one of the top two Qbs in, not the strongest QB class. Should be a pretty good fit in jets offense. Chad Pennington with a better arm. Now question is wsho is he thriowing too and do Jets have enough pass protectors to keep him healthy. (jets oline specialize in run bloicking and aren't exactly the best pass blockers)
I see Sanchez as a Matt Hasselback type QB. Maybe not Brady or Peyton but a damn good franchise qb in the hasselback mold. He has some decent to good options in cotch and keller for now at least.
Al Davis thought he drafted Ronnie Lott in the second round. Seriously, I am suprised he can dress himself anymore.
Even if he's great, you gotta question the Raiders braintrust. They had to know nobody was taking him before the 20th spot. They could have made a deal to move down and gain picks and got him then. The Bills made the same mistake with Whitner. Good organizations know what's going on. The Pats moved down last year and got the guy they wanted (Mayo) because they knew he's be there.
You love a player enough, you can't be afraid to take him where you are. You try and get too cute(trading back) and that player goes unexpectly off the board. what was that player Jets got cute trying to trade back and still get. Chris Gocong. Eagles swooped in an broke their hearts. For millonth time all DHB has to do is stretch the football field. That safety Raiders drafted in the second(that Kiper wanted you to believe would have been there in the seventh. The bears and Raiders draft choice confirm was going to be the Bears pick two picks after the raiders. Bears quickly traded back after he was off the board. You never really know what some other thinks about a player, till its too late.
But you also selected Louis Murphy in the 3rd round was it? So you could have had Monroe at 7th (ur tackle that you claimed who put the final stamp on things and Murphy)
Wow - 1) Zach Miller is not a Pro-Bowl tight end. 2) In order for DHB or any receiver to be effective in Oakland they need to have a consistent qb,, having one who can throw the ball 80 yards isn't helpful when he can't accurately hit the receiver. The Raiders do have a legit running game, but it is by no means the best one out there. They also don't have the best line to give Russell anytime to make good decisions. The Raiders are not ever going to be any good while Al Davis is still running the show and to say DHB was a better fit is ridiculous.
BAAAHAHAHA!!!!!! Now I've seen everything out of you. To sum up - the Raiders are a better team if they stock their team with worse receivers, because better receivers will want the ball more, and might just get it. Therefore, it's better to pay Hayward-Bey millions more to do nothing than to pay Crabtree to do something. I hope you shared this with other team boards. This is too priceless not to spread far and wide.
Man, I didn't even know you were back. I don't notice the vortex of SUCK as quickly as I used to. I love this sentence: This reality is alot closer to coming to happening now. It's like I'm reading a post from the Pakistani guy that sells me coffee in the morning. Welcome back.
