http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4101934 RENTON, Wash. -- The Seahawks withdrew the franchise designation from linebacker Leroy Hill after drafting Wake Forest's Aaron Curry with the fourth overall choice. The move, confirmed by the team, makes Hill a free agent. The one-year, $8.3 million franchise offer no longer exists. Hill, a third-round choice in 2005, had refused to sign the offer while attempting to negotiate a lucrative long-term deal. He skipped voluntary minicamp practices recently.
Is he any good? Can he play 3-4 ILB? He's about Bart Scott's weight and an inch shorter (6-1). Sign him, trade Harris to Mankok for Edwards and we're set, I mean, broke...haha.
God. Ya know, if the rumors are true, and Rex Ryan isn't that high on Harris, it might be a good move. Hell, we've already seen Mangini overpay for "his" players today. But honestly, I could see the Lions grabbing another Seattle linebacker. Hill, Peterson and Sims? Sounds like a serious unit. Does Detroit have any money left?
umm he's going to make a hell of a lot more money as a free agent than he would have under the tag. The teams with a lot of money who might be interested: Tampa, Detroit, KC, DEN, CIN, BUF. SF, HOU
