Bryan Cox had attitude issues, and was a role model and captain here in NY... The Green and White can change a man!
I like the idea of Plax. He will cost next to nothing get him for a year with an option and we are set. 1. Plax 2. Jericho 3. Smith 4. Stuckey 5. Clowney 6. Wright/Henery
Exactly! Without a primary receiver, we are a sub par team. With Plaxico, we are automatically a condender. He's that good.
As much of a dick as Cox had the reputation for being....I think this is out of that stratosphere....He has shown repeatedly that Plax will do what he wants, and to hell with everyone else. And that isn't the message I'd want anyone to get behind...The VaGiants tried to help Plax out, and even at a time when he should have been humble, he chose to path of resistance. I wouldn't want anyone on the team to feel that is ok, and I wouldn't want any kid that loves the Jets to take that kind of message... Talent gets you so far...the rest is up to you. And Plax has shown what he chose to do. repeatedly.
Hey, we had Quincy Carter who did okay with us. Dwight Gooden and Darryl Strawberry were given a zillion second chances. What's the problem with giving Plaxico another chance? Who is to say that him facing jail time would not change him for the better? I think he'll do fine with a one year deal. I think the Jets should take a chance on him.
I don't think the poster gets it. Besides, the NFL does not run the NY state government, which is the people Plax has to worry about as they will decide his sentence. I am not going out on much of a limb here to say he will not play this year.
Call them and ask them, I don't know. All I know is what I have heard that carrying a concealed weapon in NYC is guaranteed jail time.
If OJ can get off for murdering two people, including his wife, Plaxico can get off for shooting himself in the foot
Difference here is OJ wasn't caught with a weapon or any evidence. Plax was caught red handed with evidence.
Sign him to the league minimum. Put him on a tight leash...if he fcuks up, then he's done. I think he can help this team in the long run, but then again, that's a tall order.
All I can say about John Denver is this: I'm glad his plane crashed...I just wish you were on it with him.
Probably right, this is the same guy that wanted to murder Mangini and his family at the end of the year last year. Yes, I have not forgotten that one Jr. Bottom line here, in THIS CASE, not freakin OJ. Man shoots self with concealed weapon, weapon is found, case is proven. Chances of disproving that he shot himself with a concealed weapon with concrete evidence is slim. The penalty is guaranteed jail time, who cares what the NFL does at this point, he has to worry about a judge, not Roger Goodell. That is the point I was trying to make before we got to how OJ got off and so should Plax. Man the offseason sucks ass.
