I'm down. You think he's going to shoot himself in the leg again? He'd probably come cheap as hell, incentive-laden deal that spells low-risk very high reward. If he doesn't see the field we are in the same boat as we are now.
No way he doesn't serve some jail time unless he can prove somebody else shoved it down his pants..once he does then he has the league to deal with too. Forget him.
Totally agree. It'll do nothing but help. Plax will see the ball a ton too so I can't see him bitching too much. I'd love for this to get done on the cheap.
I don't know about the particulars of the legal case against him, but maybe he'll just get community service. The league certainly wants NY to succeed. Not that it's a great thing, but maybe the league will look the other way. I think it's quite possible that the Jets could wind up with him... and yes, give him a one year contract that has morality clauses. He'd probably want to come to the Jets and do well with the Jets just to stick it to the G-men And keep in mind, people... The Giants may not have Super Bowl rings without him. I hope he winds up with the Jets
The mayor wants him in jail, so the prosecutors will show no mercy in sentence recommendation or plea bargains. Keep in mind, my entire knowledge of the inner workings of the NYC legal system comes from Law & Order reruns on TNT.
Woody is a big supporter of the Republican Party. That's part of the reason why, when the Jets were attempting to move to the West Side, Bloomberg and Pataki were vocal in favor of it. It's possible that Woody and Bloomberg get along well enough to see this through
I'd certainly take him. The guy's an idiot but he's crazy talented and would bide us time until we get a more permanent replacement #1.
Not gonna happen. Depending what happens with the lawyers, he's probably looking at a year. We're not going to take a chance with this guy and parade him along with our new QB at the opening of a new stadium. Besides, Pitt didn't want him around Big Ben too much because he was not exactly a positive influence. Why would we want to take a chance with Sanchez?
Hey, if he's not in prison, he's exactly what we could use offensively, and all he would cost is money. I don't see how you couldn't at least inquire about it. He's a selfish jackass, but he hasn't caused too many problems with teams that hurt them on the field, like some other guys.
