LOL, he has a little man-crush on Sanchez. That's a good sign though, because Gruden is usually a hater when it comes to QBs.
Sanchez is one impressive guy for his age , could we finally have the next Namath we have all desired!!
I guess that's where we differ. I don't think we had a bad situation at QB. We had a bad situation at weapons. We could have had Crabtree with the move up (who was the best player in the draft, period.) we could have gotten Josh Freeman without giving up a thing and staying at 17. Or even Pettigrew. We should haved moved down and gotten Britt or Nicks and some extra picks. The Patriots prove time and time again that you should be able to plug any back-up into your system and lose little. Brady (from round 6) stepped right in for Bledsoe, and Cassel slipped right in for Brady. We didn't need Brett last season, we could have gotten Chad the weapons he needed and adapted the system to his skill set (you know like Miami who made us look like chumps last year). The only people benefiting from our QB situation is the Jersey manufacturer who made a killing on Favre jerseys last year and will make a killing on Sanchez jerseys for all you homers.
So what's the consensus pick? There always seems to be one around here. I want to get on a bandwagon, and Jennings is out of the question unfortunately. Otherwise I'd be so pumped.
Back just in time for our next pick with a twisted ankle it's freaking hot outside. I want DE Mitch King
Almost up...I like Francois, Baker, Ellerbe, and Trevor Canville here. I'd also like to trade down if possible. I wouldn't of minded having Gilbert/R. Jennings over Greene and whoever we take, but I trust Tanny.
When you have no QB you have no chance. We needed to get a QB and we ended up getting the best QB prospect in the draft. The Jets finally have an elite QB prospect, now they need to build the team around him.
