We only gave up a 4th rounder and a 7th rounder to move up 11 spots. How is that too much?

First, are you not familiar with the musical stylings of John Denver?
Secondly, I don't keep tabs on the WAC. A marginal prospect from the Big Ten, SEC, Pac-10, sure. A marginal prospect from the WAC, and a team that I didn't see once this season, I'm not going to pretend to know.

Obviously you didn't. I said sign someone like Matt Jones or another FA. There are still free agent receivers available if we're not confident with the guys we have. Everything I've heard is that our receivers are ready to turn a corner.

I'm only doom and gloomy around the draft. Come the season, I'm every bit the optimist.

    I agree 100%...

Rex knows what we have on defense, and he's confident in what he saw. The guys we lost on day 1 were replaceable.

What the fuck are we doing trading away all our picks?! I thought we would've learned from the 2007 draft and the 2007 season that what's going to happen to your team when you add only 3 or 4 players throught the draft... Jesus, we have no goddamn depth and only one injury to either of the lines and we're fucked.

Yes, you do have to spell it out. You said Dwight was the best player to come out of Iowa, not the best RB/WR. I'm not sure why you'd even bring up receivers when talking about Shonn Greene. From now on, we should only draft RBs from Oklahoma State. I mean, that's where Barry Sanders went, so every other back out of OSU should be great, right?

2007 we added 2 stud defnesive players. I'd rather have 2 guys like Harris & revis than 3 decent starters.

I'm looking at his stats--you know, iowa didn't play OSU or UM this last year. Who was the toughest run defense in the Big Ten this last year?

    we traded our 3, 4, and 7. Didn't have a 5, so I believe we only have a 6 left

Wow, so that's pretty much it except for a 6th. Tanny took all the fun out of the draft this year.

Yes the same Matt Jones who will for sure be suspended(Again) and is a liability in the head with his problems. Even then he was a decent player with JAX, didnt live up to any expectations when there.

Reggie Williams his friend got caught for the same stuff too and may get a game or two too. He also didnt live up to anything.

Yes there is Marvin Harrison around but he isnt what he used to be. Burress who the heck knows....

In a deep WR draft, I just thought keeping the 4th pick would have been the thing to do instead of trading up 11 spots.
