We still have a legitimate shot at Bear Pascoe and Anthony Hill...

actually i think Mcdaniels is trying to get himself fired before TC starts, and he is doing everything he can think of without go Al Davis and taking UDFA's in the second round...

Well, this solidifies my opinion of the current regime's drafting ability.

Jarron Gilbert, Rashad Jennings, Shonn Greene, Anthony Hill, Ramses Barden. Some guys still on the board after Day 1. Hoping we can scopp one of them up with our 3rd rounder.

While he's no Scott Pioli, I hate to admit the Mike T's drafts have been consistently better than other regimes in JETS history.

Aside from Gholston (who the whole world knew would be the pick) they drafted some players that have been successful :eek:hmy:

on that note Harvin is an explosive athlete and would've been a good complement to Cotchery's style (all his baggage aside)

That's true. Pascoe may fit better for what we're looking for anyway, given our needs at other positions. Well, here's hoping for Greene or Gilbert tomorrow.

    right back at you, bud....

there's some excellent value still on the board..can't wait for the 3rd round tomorrow.

We have our franchise QB now.....now we need to draft our freight train out of the backfield.....Shonn F*cking Greene.....let's make it happen, Tanny :)

a little off topic, but how the hell did the pats get so many 2nd and 3rd rounders. it's ridiculous.

as for the 3rd round, i don't know much about the players left. but i would like to get a de/dt, rb (everyone's hoping for shonne greene), or maybe a TE.

A second rounder for Cassel, plus they traded down in the first.

yeah, i overexaggerated. he's been hit or miss with me. yeah we knew that gholston was the pick, but that doesn't mean he has to be. i mean, how many of us were clamoring that gholston sucks and is going to be a bust? it's not like the question marks weren't there. i didn't care about what kind of reach it would have been but i wanted kenny phillips at #6. as for this draft, the more people talk on the board, the more i'm starting to warm up to the trade for sanchez. i still wanted the eagles draft of maclin and mccoy instead, but i can learn to live with it. i'll be rooting for him every sunday along with everyone else.

we are calling Gholston a bust already... how about he wasn't used properly. I really don't think he is a OLB in a 3-4. i think he's a DE, and needs his hand on the ground, or he has to be the rush LB. He can not drop in coverage and it really stunted his growth.

I think we will see the real Vernon Gholston this year.

They wanted Harvin at #17, not Maclin?? Tanny should stick to managing the salary cap.

Yea..He got a minor steal for Sanchez, and drafted Leon, Brick, Mangold, Revis, Lowery, Keller, etc..He is such a dummy.

Pass on Harvin....at that point I would have wanted Pettigrew or Maclin. Talking #17 right?

ANyone that is against the Sanchez trade(I can't believe there are any) should read this. The place would have exploded if we passed on Maclin for Harvin which is what would have happened.

Harvin may be good but that is too questionable to deal with his BS. I would take just Sanchez over Harvin and anybody they would have taken in rd 2.
