And we'd be drafting Jeremy Maclin right now, and we'd still have our 2nd round pick. And Ratliff, Elam, Coleman.

I agree with you, but what can you do. Hopefully the Jets made the right choice.

    I agree with the OP.

We headed down the wrong road.

How would Maclin have not been there at #17 if we don't trade up for Sanchez? Please explain.

I just love the negativity that every Jets fan needs to have for whatever reason.

The lone loss was a 2nd round pick, thats it. Thats it.

The Browns would have picked up Crabtree if we hadn't moved up, and the 49ers would have taken Maclin? It's a distinct possibility.

How is this a bad post? Because someone's not on Sanchez's joc? There was basically no chance before the draft Maclin would fall to 17, and with our need for a speed receiver it would've been perfect. It's a good debate: Maclin, the 2nd, plus the 3 guys we traded, or Sanchez?

We are going to have to commit Matt Ryan type money to this guy (Sanchez).

What happens to the Jets as an organization if he's a Bust??

we get the chance for a FRANCHISE QB in exchange for a 2nd rnd pick or an undrafted qb and safety ie ratliff or elam and a jag DE.

    people need to get real

The Browns dissed Crabtree publicly over the last few days. What makes you so sure they would have taken him? They have plenty of other needs on both sides of the ball.

Thats the chance you take... you can't win betting with scared money, and it seems there is a lot of scared money here.

Sanchez may turn out to be great, but does he even see the field this year? Probably not, I'm guessing. So we got zero help for our team this year in Rounds 1-2.

He starts this year... he's already better than Clemens... otherwise this move would not have been made.

A 2nd rd pick in an extremely weak draft.
