Coleman is an expendable piece, Ratliff who the fuck knows what he will do(If he gets out of 3rd string in CLE which is tough as of the moment) and Elam was a mediocre safety in most games and a decent-okay safety in others.

The 2nd round pick is the lone bad thing but as long as DE and WR are addressed in rounds 3 and 4, this is HELL OF A DRAFT.

Mangini is doing a great job of surrounding himself with the players who got him fired last year.

We Signed Leonard and lost elam. No effect to depth.

We Signed Douglas and Lost Coleman. No effect to depth, but a possible drop off in DE play.

We Draft Sanchez and Lost Ratliff. No effect on Depth and a huge talent up grade at QB.

We gave up our Second and First to get to Sanchez. That Does hurt from a depth stand point but the chance at a franchise QB is more then worth it.

It will be interesting to see what cap hit we will take with a q/b taken at 5 - it will be a mega amount of cash and could affect our ability to sign other players. Only time will tell if this is a good pick or not.

1st 3 rds go to QBs

1 and 2 for Sanchez and 3 for Favre.

This team has no f'ing clue how to build a winner.

agree that only time will tell, but that's almost always the case with anyone in the draft... i just think we gave up nothing that much to get him, and hopefully tanny can work some cap magic

btw are you from leicester in england? me too haha...

You are right. I didn't think about Douglas. I could really care less about Elam, and Ratliff. My first thought was losing a starting DE in a 3-4 defense. I don't know if there is going to be a drop off with Douglas.

We signed Leonard and Elam this year. His RFA tender counts as a contract. We signed two safeties and lost one. Effect on depth.

Asshole, the 3d we have is for Vilma. Our 3rd went to Green Bay for Favre

They didn't trade away a 1st rounder they swapped with Cleveland. So all we actually gave up for Sanchez was a 2nd and 3 average/back-up players.

I didn't want to trade for Sanchez and even I have to admit this was a great trade.

When we traded for Robertson, everyone called that trading 2 1st rd picks for him....so you have to call this the same, trading the 1st and 2nd

I love this move. When I first heard I was worried we traded Rhodes, Harris or someone good + picks. 3 backups and a 2nd rounder for a (possible) franchise QB is a great deal.
Now we just need to find a receiver.

How did we increase our depth with what you just said? Do you understand that losing players EFFECTS depth? Or are all our starters going to be stay healthy and never get tired?
