If that's the plan, i might well find the nearest window and take the dive. No to giving away any number of picks for Sanchez.
I sure am glad none of us are in the Jets' front office, including myself. We would have traded away the team by now. And we would trade every pick from now until 2020 for Sanchez.
If we walk away from this draft with our franchise QB a top 10 NFL no. 1 WR and Leon as our number 1 back I would be in heaven.
Meh, it's more like saying that each of them have their positives and negatives. I'm not a DHB fan, and I think he is fool's gold, but the size-speed combination is still intriguing. Outside of the character issues, I prefer Harvin to any receiver we would get with that pick. Maybe not Pettigrew or Moreno, but another tight end would still infuriate me. While Jones is probably gone after this year, I don't think you really need to groom runningbacks, you can usually get them to perform right away. We can get someone next year to play with Leon if Jones is gone. If the Jets think they can coach Harvin, I'd be fine with him. In fact, if we could trade down and still get him, I would be ecstatic.
I still think its unlikely the Jets will end up drafting 17th. I think they will end up trading up or down. But they still have to show interest in players for negotiating purposes.
He played in the NFL in 2007 and 2008. Based upon that, Quinn is a National Football League veteran. The CBA defines veteran as "a player who has signed at least one Player Contract with an NFL club."
I guess in my mind I think of a veteran as someone who's been on the field for at least 3-4 years. I guess my those standards Kellen Clemens is a veteran. I stand corrected. I still think of Quinn as somewhere between a rookie and a veteran.
Young veteran or unproven player would be the best ways to label Quinn. He's definitely a veteran, but I certainly understand what you are saying.
I'm sorry, but could you explain why? I'm not talking about the explosiveness that we're all aware of. I'm talking about how you expect him to contribute at a position that he's ill equipped to play. He's admitted he doesn't run routes, he's easily jammed off the line, and he's unable to get separation from corners at the NFL level as it currently stands. Would you like to line him up where he'll make an immediate impact (in the slot/backfield) and forget Stuckey and the idea of getting Leon more creative touches, or would you like to spend a few years developing him to play outside and hope he stays healthy the entire time?
