Now both picks are very unpopular options here at pick #17 and personally I'd be mad if either were taken at that spot. While both may be overrated and/or a reach at 17, its easy to forget that these are talented players at positions of need.

Considering the possibility of the Jets trading down and Tannenbaum's history of trading up in the late 1st/early 2nd round, at what point in the draft do Percy Harvin and Josh Freeman become picks that you would like?

Good question. I would say Harvin in the late first / early second. And Freeman in the late second / early third.

2nd round for me, I feel we should try and make a move if Sanchez is there at 17, so that may cost us that 2nd rounder. Not really sure how the trade would hammer out tho.

I don't want Freeman, at first I did, but, I think it's a real stretch to grab him at 17.

What kind of move is going to cost us our 2nd rounder if Sanchez is there at 17? If Sanchez is there at 17 he's a NYJ and we get ready for our 2nd round pick.

2nd round for Harvin, and signing as a undrafted free agent for Freeman, because personally i don't feel the need to waste a pick on such a project.

If I was Freeman I wouldn't show up at Radio City
I just got a feeling it's going to be a long day for him

If I was him I'd rather go fishing, and I don't know how to fish

I was wondering the same thing.

My ideal draft day would be:
Trade down in the first round to the 23-26 range, and acquire an additional third rounder
Trade our 2nd rounder + Thomas Jones for Boldin

That would be real nice, but I won't hold my breath

I'd be happy to see the JETS grab Harvin anywhere in the 2nd (even if they have move up in front of the JAGS in rd 2)

It wouldn't kill me if they drafted Harvin at 17 - we would have some pretty nice options on 3rd down with Harvin, Leon, and Keller. Freeman on the other hand I don't want at all. Our team is too old on the lines to wait 3 years for a QB to develop.

Harvin a second, I wouldn't waste a pick on Freeman to come in and hold a clipboard.

Freeman would be acceptable in the third round.

Harvin never, he is a dum ass.

I'd be happy with either one, as long as we picked up another 3rd or even a 4th round pick in the process. Both guys have immense potential, and I could see either one being a good pro. I wouldn't like either one at 17, but there aren't a whole lot of guys I actually want at that pick. As much as this board hates those two guys, there's a reasonable scenario with Harvin and Freeman being the best players at their respective positions in this draft. The bust potential is too high for me to be happy with them as our only reward from #17, but if we drop down to like #25 and grab either one, I'd be happy.

Don't touch them. If they come from undrafted FA class, then I might reconsider.
