I just don't understand why the jets who have limited draft picks this year continue to trade up and give away more picks. As for Sanchez I think most people agree this guy is no sure thing and his arm is not made for the windy conditions NJ. He sounds alot like a Pennington type of QB and we saw how that worked out. The bottom line is you need to have a QB that can deal with the crazy winds of the Meadowlands. We also have so many other whole to fill on offense like a legit #1 WR and a blocking TE and maybe another young OT for backup. The point is the more picks you have the better chance you have at finding players that will stick. And lastly didn't Clemens get rave reviews at minicamp? Give the guy a chance to compete with Ratcliffe and see what happens. The FO seems to me only concerned with making a splash and has no concern for long term strategy. Unlike the Jets, the pats have 11 picks this year; and you wonder why they always are at the top of pack at the end of the year. We have some aging players and its time start stock piling through the draft. Moving up to get Sanchez is just stupid.
We have limited draft picks this year? I thought we had one pick in each round. Sanchez has the arm to make all the throws in the NFL. Having a Pennington type QB is not a bad thing. It's Ratliff not Ratcliffe And couldn't this have been posted in the Sanchez thread we already have?
what are you talking about?? "continue to trade up".. where have we gone? we havent traded up at all.. its all speculation. We do not have a shortage of picks either.. and then you're going to compare pennington to sanchez? your an idiot. Pretty sure the best long term strategy would be to draft a QB who has the potential to be a franchise quarterback.. this realy didnt need its own thread.. AT ALL..
