NFL.com is having some kind of a contest by having fans create their own mock drafts of the first round. I think its a pretty cool set up myself. I thought some of our draftniks here could really do quite well and might want to submit their mocks for a chance at winning tickets to the 2010 Pro Bowl in South Florida. http://challengegames.nfl.com/predictpick?icampaign=PTPgrey_Home_TR in case anyone cares, he is the mock I submitted. 1. Detroit Lions- Matthew Stafford 2. St. Louis Rams – Eugene Monroe 3. Kansas City Chiefs- Aaron Curry 4. Seattle Seahawks – Mark Sanchez 5. Cleveland Browns – Tyson Jackson 6. I don't think that there's a chance in hell Maclin falls to 17, but if he did, yes, the NYJ take him. And for one, overall, I like your mock. I see Harvin has fallen out and Britt is in. This is smart, I think.
I think it is more and more likely Maclin slides pretty close to us. Because it has come out that Crabtree really pissed off Mangini and Co. in Cleveland during his team interview, so as a result he wont go there, Mangini wouldnt allow it. So the first WR to go will be Oakland, and Davis will go Crabtree over Maclin I think he is leaking that he likes Maclin so he can take DHB personally, but he will take crab before either. and the Jags line was decimated last year, so getting a top OL might be more important now that they have their 2-3 year fix in Holt at the WR position. That said look for them to target a sliding Harvin in round 2. Who else is desperate for a reciever between the Jags and us? No one really, so he could very easily slide to us.
My prediction is we don't draft at 17, we trade up or down, prolly down. Tannenbaum has no say in player evaluation, if he doesn't make a bunch of trades it makes him look like he's not doing anything and unsuited for the job. So he will make a bunch of trades.
where did you get that from? I mean he is the GM for gods sake, I'm sure tanny does some form of evaluating. But you are right, Tanny has shown the propensity to go get the guys he wants.
